Flip This House #5

Cabinet inserts haven’t arrived yet so I haven’t had a chance to make a yes or no decision

I bought the 9 light Gloucester.

I’ve loaded just a few photos

Top floor painting is getting done and master bath tile is getting done
Baseboard is getting done
Lots of cleaning, touchup paint and caulking going on

GORGEOUS!!! :-j

Are you going to paint the trim the same color as the walls, or leave it pure white? They look like they are different colors in the pictures.

My vote would have been for #2 in that group, but #4 is a good alternate. Works with size and feel and is available now.

Very seriously thinking of painting the vinyl windows white to match the walls

I agree with painting those windows white…and I like the light you picked out.

I agree that the new LR light is better. The original one looked much better in the first photos when lit than it does in the latest one.

If I walked into that house, looked at everything, and then saw that total bling chandelier in the kitchen I would wonder what temporary madness had come over the designer. But YMMV.

Just bought refrigerator and I’m sitting at Pacific Sales trying to tie down a 72 high frig. Thank God I brought one of the guys with me because they just rolled it into the back of the truck and closed the door. Uhhhh?? Is anyone going to help tie this down?? Evidently not

Love the fridge. Hope you can transport it safely!

Sanford and Son made it back with frig intact but now the guys are trying to figure out how to get it through the front door without damaging door or frig. Thank Goodness I poured that nice wide ramp:)

We are having a freak Santa Ana heat wave and I’m now up in Miramar combing through hot granite yards to find just the right countertop for master bath and top deck. Evidently I cannot put quartz in full sun (which might hit during late afternoon) because of its resin composition. So humping around hot yards in 95 degree dry heat

hope you are wearing a hat!!

Nope… I’m never organized enough to have a hat when I need it  At least I put on a 15 spf every morning!

I’ve loaded a couple of pictures of the appliances getting installed and my paint dilemna in the powder room. I have decided I need to paint the powder room with an interesting contrasting color so that the sconces and mirror will pop in the room. Having trouble finding the perfect color with the green vanity.

These are the sconces that I ordered for the powder room. I realize that they have a fabric shade, but it’s a powder room so it should be OK regarding a lot of dirt and grime

are you going to the house sometime after dark to check out the lighting in the kitchen?

^^Good idea!

We’ve had to have our fridge doors removed to get them in and out of houses–ours and my folks. Our doorways just aren’t wide enough.

Yes, was there this evening. I think I definitely need some central lighting. Probably about 4 bulbs worth

cb, for the powder room, I’d steer away from the grays and consider a deep navy blue.

Navy with the green vanity?

Right now I’m trying a grey with a hint of purple. I know it sounds weird but I think it might work with the green
