My kid for 4400!! Is this really bad? How many kids are there even vying for dorms? I’m bummed. I wonder if they give higher to those who have committed
Does anyone know if FSU sends out an acceptance package through mail? Its been weeks now, will probably email admissions to send another one if that is the case
D got number 87 in lottery! She has a roommate picked out who is in the 800’s. We got very lucky
FYI, denb shared with me that if roommates are matched and they request a room, the lower (worse) number of the two becomes the contract number for them.
Where else is he considering?
Wait this housing makes NO sense. If you get the worse lottery #, then who would want to room with you?? My DD has 4000. In addition, requests need to be made by April 16 before the commitment deadline? So if you decide to go there April 20, you get a random roommate??
That is accurate, the higher the number, the lower the priority; this should be disclosed in the housing information you received. There usually are close to 7000 numbers assigned. So if your student is 4000, you are near the middle. People usually try to find a roommate with a similar number. The higher number of roommates is used for preference of dorm.
Florida, TN, and South Carolina. Waiting to her from Georgia.
Congrats! Any scholarships? My son has similar stats and applying this year.
