Any idea of chances of an OOS applicant - 4.0 weighted, 5 AP’s, multiple honors, good EC’s, 1320 SAT. I know they’ve become more competitive and especially for OOS. Just wondering…
The early action numbers are showing an average SAT of 1410 and midrange SAT of 1360-1460. A core GPA of a 4.4, with midrange of 4.3-4.6. This info can be found on the FSU admissions instagram page.
Ok, what, if anything, does this mean??? Not trying to read tea leaves here but …
Arrived just now. Student is awaiting decision.
Text in an email from FSU states:
Hi Applicant-
Summer and Fall Orientation registration is now open, and you are encouraged to register as early as possible for a session.
Once you have made the decision to attend FSU, start by activating you FSUID and paying you $200 admissions deposit through the portal.
We got one too! Not sure but def sounds promising, computer program sending at wrong time? Bet they are getting a lot of calls right now. Good luck
FSU Admissions just posted on Reddit:
But I am hearing not everyone is getting this email. People who got in EA did though.
So mean to send this today.
I have twins, one got the email, other didn’t
Someone made a mistake. It is a good sign!
I don’t believe them!
Same. Bet someone in a different department hit the send button a bit to early. Admissions probably commuicated the acceptances with the new student office this morning and they wanted to get something out right away. Also what college sets up emails for non-admitted students.
Hop you are right!
The email set up is the key to me. Plus, my older son got a similar email AFTER he was admitted two years ago. My younger one just got it today. Seems like a lot of extra work to set up 70k email accounts with an acceptance rate in the 20’s. That’s a lot of extra work.
Yeah, it’s a good sign even if they deny it. Someone made a big error.
Regarding the FSU email - does anyone have any idea what the letter after the 24 means? Or if it me means anything at all? The email will have your kid’s initial followed by 24 and then a letter.
It is your initials before the 24. So if you are the 2nd person to have the same set of initials you might get b and so on.
Oh got it. It was the letter “a” so I wasn’t sure if it was to note that my kid got into the access bridge program or something like that. But since her stats are on the higher side, I was a bit confused.
If everyone here gets into FSU and UF, which would you choose?
UF hands down
UF for sure
Your initials are probably less common. My initials are commonish and I got b
