Can you tell us about the free one in Minnesota? Do you have a link? And is that what you mean by “APES” online? Thanks!

I think that’s it.

APES: AP Environmental Science.

College Confidential Rule #1:

An acryonym that starts with the letters AP will always stand for an AP course offered by the college board.

ex.

APUSH= AP U.S. History

Thanks! Looks like it is free to students in Minnesota… thanks for the tip!

hey how hard is AP Macro online through flvs?

I’m still trying to finish Alg II. I’m about a month behind, which isn’t too bad, but I need to get past Logarithms at least for my PreCal class.

And Personal Fitness, I just need to finish up a few things then take the exam, but I’m supposed to have finished the class last week.

lol, I’m almost a month behind in AP Lang.

I just called my AP Micro teacher, and he practically yelled at me for doing an oral assessment that I should of done like 6 weeks ago.

Well, AP Micro isn’t too hard. It’s just alot of graphing.

Dunno about Macro. I’m taking that next semester.

Did he yell at you intentionally? Jeez… I can’t imagine my FLVS teacher ever being rude.

Omg thank you guys!!!

Thank you thank you thank you!

You see, I don’t know many people who take online course so that I thought I was one of the few who were always behind! Now I see it’s not the case. =)

Btw, don’t you guys (beautiful Florida ppl!!!) feel special by having a virtual school that offers a bunch of honors/APs/interesting courses for free and get more credits and everything than other kids in other states?

I know I do. =)

Btw, Armando, Im in ur EXACT same position.

Hey, do you happen to be Cuban? I think I know you…

Not Cuban :)

And what part are you on Metdeth?

It seemed like it was done intentionally. He was like “do you think you can get caught up by the end of this week?” I said, “yea.” And then he said, “ok, I expect to see you on pace by Sunday.” I said, “I’ll try.”

Then he goes, “NO YOU WON’T TRY, YOU WILL BE ON PACE BY SUNDAY.”

Now I’m going crazy trying to turn things in as fast as I can. haha

Hmm how do these courses work? I just sign up and then immediately start working on courses at my own pace?

I’m thinking of taking either regular Chem or AP Bio, AP Bio is soo expensive though ><

Yep, you just sign up, and you’ll be placed in a class (this might take awhile).

You have to submit a certain amount of assignments per week.

And yea, it’s pretty expensive for out-of-state students, especially if you want to take an AP class. XD

Unfortunately, working at your own pace isn’t exactly working at your own pace. It would be nice if they would leave you alone until the end of the semester, but there are weekly and monthly deadlines that you have to follow. For example, Week 3 - Module 2: 2.3 - 2.7 completed. Depending on your teacher, they may haunt you about your pace with annoying phone calls and emails. Other teachers won’t bother you until around exam time.

But FLVS is still pretty awesome. Better than taking a lot of sub-par APs and other classes at my school.

bump, is ANYONE on here taking AP Lang on FLVS?

I need help. Badly. :(

anyone taking ap gov?

lol On NCVPS your teacher calls your school and yells at them.
What is this “behind” stuff? On NCVPS AP courses, it is do on x date or Monday at 12 midnight. And if you turn it in at 12:04, god rest your soul.

I just finished AP art history last thursday!!! wooooooo. to new42: I know someone who took it on FLVS. It’s really not that hard.
