Food Products That Brand Matters

I bought a cuisinart ice cream maker and am going to attempt it tomorrow. Thanks for the subliminal thoughts.

Homemade brand ice cream is so good. I bought some Hagen Daz chocolate chip today because I was at a store that doesn’t carry Homemade brand and it’s pretty good but not as good.
Hellmans mayo
I like Aquafresh toothpaste. It’s getting harder to find because the market is so saturated with Colgate and Crest.
Pinconning is a cheddar cheese local to Michigan that I like better than any other brand. I mostly don’t buy pre-shredded cheese but TJ has a very good Quattro Formaggio that is great for pizza.
Cento San Marzano tomatoes are the best.
Barilla makes very good GF pasta.
Downey’s potato chips, also a MI brand, are the best!

Homemade Brand choc chip is almost impossible to beat. The cut of the choc chips - not too big, not too small - is :100:!!

I have the same one, and it works very well! I can control the sweetness of the ice cream I make.

This book is very useful!

Now… back to brands.

This exactly, the balance between the sweetness of the ice cream and the dark chocolate shavings is sooo good!

Peanut Butter vs Peanut Butter Spread. I think they carry both. At Whole Foods the 365 Organic says spread somewhere and it has the palm but I always have to be careful not to pick it up by accident. They look very similar.

Reporting back- made strawberry ice cream tonight with the cuisinart. Very easy and excellent!

I don’t use a lot of condiments or jelly/peanut butter/butter. I use olive oil produced by a good friend and sea salt. There are few brand loyalties, Hagen daz, Charmin, Tide, Dawn, Cascade, etc. I am picky about my meat and fresh vegetables/fruits. I don’t eat that much and I am not buying for a large family, so I would tend to buy the best food possible.

Tried Tilamook ice cream due to this thread. It is indeed creamy! I had it with Ben & Jerry’s dairy free frozen treats.

Cape Cod potato chips. If I’m going to indulge, I want those!

Ditto for Ben and Jerry’s, Talenti, Häagen-Dazs.

I’d settled on Frankie’s olive oil as the best “all in one” solution, and my supermarket stopped carrying it!

Because of this thread, we tried Tillamook ice cream. Very smooth. I think I like the crunchiness of Ben and Jerry’s better

Anyone have a favorite barbecue sauce? I buy my bbq sauces and jams thru a local farm store, with their own brand.

Not the preferred brand in this thread, but I do buy Jif peanut butter.

This guy is hilarious. He has an hour-long comedy special (only on YouTube), entitled, “The Salesman.” Good, clean fun.

He used to work for P&G
