For those who were accepted, what's the lowest grade that you ever got?

I’m sorry to anyone who has read this same question from me multiple times, just ignore it.

Is it possible to get in with an F if it was retaken for an A? Will they abide by the GPA that my school gives them, or will they recalculate it with the F in it?

Is rank more important than GPA? I’m in the top 1 percent right now with the retake counted. Just assume that I’m 1/628. Will that negate the damage of the failed course? Will the relative damage to my application be negligible? Just how much will it hurt?

Stanford does not take into account your freshman year, so if the F was then you’re fine

^
I’m a sophomore. I got straight As a freshman. ):

If your rank 1/628 then you’re golden. To answer your topic question though, I got 2 semester B’s in high school.

I got two mid-80s in my junior year. APUSH and regular calculus.

Freshman year: 4 Bs
Sophomore year: 5 Bs
Junior year: 4 Bs
Senior year: 0 Bs

We went by semesters, so, for example, freshman year I had 3 Bs out of eight semesters.

valedictorian from my school with 2400 gpa was rejected. (no b’s) a girl ranked 16/172 was accepted.

i was rejected. never got any b’s

I think they want people who spend their time usefully and really show dedication beyond being president of like 10 clubs. Look at the accepted thread and you’ll realize that the people with the highest SAT/GPA 's got rejected.

multiple B’s. 3.85
top 10% in CA public school
rank 70 ish / 732

I have so far gotten four semester B’s and am looking at one more this semester. The lowest was probably an 86

i’m only in the top 20%, but the class is so small and competitive in the best school in the country  thankfully Stanford sees more than class rank.

I got a B+ in AP Bio sophomore year, B+ in APUSH junior year, and a B in BC Calc first quarter of senior year.

2 A-'s though I doubt those really factored into admissions.

My lowest grade was an A.

What I really recommend is including a note (there’s space for it in the Additional Information section) and getting your counselor to include a note about why you got the F and how you fixed it, just so that they know. I’m sure it wasn’t your fault, but better safe than sorry!

lowest grade i got was a 92 (A)

Honestly, my scores very rarely dipped below 100, and never even approached an A-… My school isn’t very competitive. :****P

2 B’s in one semester of Junior year: French 4 & AP Literature
(Luckily, I’m a science guy, so it’d probably be much worse if they were in Calc and Physics)

My lowest grade in high school was a 94; 96 if you don’t count freshman year

You know, the funny thing is my A- was in orchestra of all things. Kept on coming late to class.

I got a ton of B’s and my weighted GPA was 3.9, unweighted was bellow a 3.7

but I go to a very difficult private school and I have other things going for me
