DD does not have “optional grade report” on her checklist. Interesting.
What is this event people are talking about who have received the likely letters? My daughter will apply regular decision so she hasn’t applied yet. Is this event for people who live near the event and got a pseudo-acceptance indication? The event sounds awkward to me. A bunch of seniors who are likely to get in but don’t know what aid they will get? Anyone else think it is kind of an uncomfortable situation like you are in limbo if you don’t know what it will cost to go there?
@silverpurple We don’t live near one of those early events, but it seems to me like just another opportunity to learn more about the university prior to making a final decision. Sort of like going to a college fair, or going to one of their presentations (Ram Sessions), but fancier.
I am not positive, but I believe that the optional grading report is mid-way grades from this year sent into the school. This report is usually optional. Your school is usually the one to submit these grades.

I received a likely letter, and I have that section in my portal. However, I sent my first quarter grades to all my colleges in mid-November regardless if they required it or not. So that section is checked for me, maybe that’s why it shows up?!
@silverpurple The applicants who received likely letters applied EA, not RD. If you look at past threads you’ll see that the receptions are alumni events with the college president. It’s just another recruiting tool and place to gather information.

Any chance we will be hearing back soon? Last year the decisions came out around the 15th
@avahelen I hope so! Last year if I am correct they sent decisions out the 14th and the year before the 15th. The past two years I believe have been released on this upcoming Friday. I have my fingers crossed maybe the 13th. Good luck to all of you!!

I’ve been obsessively checking too dw… I’ve heard a bunch of times but I think it usually comes out around 7pm.

Wouldn’t you need an access IT ID in order to log into my.fordham.edu? And did you get that?
