Fordham fall 2020 transfer

hahaha thank you! have u received your decision yet?

yes! i was accepted to fordham lc! @waytoonervous

I was accepted to LC for Environmental Studies as an incoming sophomore about a week ago! I’m still waiting on my financial aid package because they requested an Outside Aid Disclosure Form a couple days after I was admitted.

I’ll likely be going there in the fall, so if anyone’s created a GroupMe or something, let me know! Good luck everyone

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your acceptances! I’m also applying as a transfer to RH and was wondering what my chances of admission would be. My high school GPA is horrible because i didn’t really realize the importance of grades haha (not even a 3.0) but i had a lot of extra curriculars
my first semester of college i had a 3.6 and this semester i should be finishing around 4.0

Thoughts? Good luck to everyone!

hey I’m applying to Lincoln Center as a fall 2020 transfer as well. Depending on if you are a freshman or sophomore, I believe your high school career won’t matter to them as much since you are pretty deep into your collegiate career. I am applying as a current sophomore as my high school grades were poor and my college grades at the moment are slightly better around a 3.0-3.1. That being said. Their average is a 3.5 admitted so I would say you should be on the money depending on if u have any extra curriculars, strong essay, recommendation letter, and good resume.

Thank you for your help! I was just accepted to Rose Hill

hello guys! how is your financial aid looking? I was admitted recently but haven’t received by finaid info. I’m a bit worried because I have a very low EFC and I heard that Fordham often doesn’t meet aid for transfer students!

From what I’ve heard about fordham is that I don’t think they value their transfers as much as they should. Transfers don’t get any merit aid and those that do get scholarships I Believe have at least a 3.75 and beyond. If you commute you get a commuter grant of 10k or so. I would just expect your FAFSA and grants to save you if you aren’t a big prodigy

Hello, do you know what happens if I didn’t submit the FAFSA and CSS profile on the deadline? Are they still going to consider me for Financial Aid?

I was accepted into Fordham Lincoln Center applied 5/20 and accepted 5/29! Will most likely commit and attend in the fall. Anybody know any groups for incoming Fordham transfer students?

you will still be considered for aid if you submit before or on May 1, or within 7days of your acceptance

I checked facebook–nothing. I was also accepted to Fordham Lincoln Center on 5/8. if I may ask: how’s your fin aid?

I agree that I have found nothing on Facebook as well. In regards to financial aid, I believe fordham takes a while to hear from when it comes to administering aid, as a incoming transfer student we are mainly only given grants, need based aid, and loans. Merit Aid are reserved for the top percentage of income transfers which I believe start at 3.75 gpas or so

I have a 3.9 GPA and didn’t give me a merit scholarship…

Hm that’s weird. Perhaps they just give it out very selectively. I haven’t received any financial aid award letter yet but I can sense that everything is need based once you’re a transfer. If you were to be admitted as a freshman then you would immediately be considered for merit based scholarship

There’s a commuter grant that is around 7k per year.

Does anyone who has received the financial aid package tell us if it was generous or they didn’t give enough aid?
