Heavily involved in the school community, promoting cultural heritage, and nearby towns’ w/ volunteering. Some work experience.
Extremely competitive public CT school w/ 65% acceptance rate to Fordham. I’m not Catholic but the town is overall heavily Catholic!
Showed some interest - always opened emails. Signed up for tours but couldn’t make it.
Not guaranteed housing, but I chose off-campus. Hope to get Metro grant.
sorry new to this page:

The website indicates 4 years guaranteed for all students. Had the same question.
Also had a NMSF who didn’t get scholarship mention in acceptance. We will see what financial aid letter says, but definitely disappointing to know that similarly situated kids get full tuition. I would imagine (absent some good offer at time of financial aid package) that they ultimately lose most NMSF they don’t give the scholarship to.
Accepted EA Rose Hill for Gabelli. Dean’s Scholarship, Gabelli Honors College, applied finance, guaranteed housing 4 years.
3.8 uw gpa (only one B, all A/A-), test optional, 5 APs (AP Stats, Hon Calc). Not taking AP calc had us concerned for business. Extremely impressive business/finance ECs, particularly women in finance ECs. Interned in competitive program at Fidelity in Boston last summer. From large public rigorous school outside of Boston. Lots of leadership. She shines in her essays and ECs and we are thrilled. Her stats are solid but we were worried after Clemson deferral yesterday.
My son applied EA and couldn’t figure out how to find decision on portal and got no email. Well, turns out he didn’t fill out the SAT forms in portal and just self reported on the common app. Oh well. Guess we’re pushed to regular decision. Not one of his top choices but definitely blew a little wind out of our sails. He’s spending tonight checking all his other portals to confirm he’s done everything.
That’s a bummer… colleges can do a better job at being more communicative… it takes a lot of time to apply and follow through on the application portals. It’s easy for some students to be overwhelmed and miss out on these details, especially if they have a lot going on at school. I really had to take the charge of ensuring my D25 was promptly following through all required steps the portals show they have everything they need. Otherwise I wont be surprised to be in an even worse situation. Best wishes to yourson! he’s got this.
What are the key details regarding Fordham University’s Early Action decisions for Fall 2025 admission, and how does the Early Action process impact an applicant’s chances of acceptance?
S25 accepted early action Rose Hill, guaranteed housing, neuroscience, GPA 4.79 W, ACT 33, 5 APs, ECs: neoro camp, 4 years percussion and theater, camp counselor for kids with cancer
Early Action deadline for Fordham has passed.
You may apply ED2 or regular decision now.
ED2 is binding.
From what I’ve seen there isn’t much difference in acceptance rates between EA and RD at Fordham. Check their common data set for details.
The one big difference between EA and RD is you get a decision much sooner; Fordham released EA decisions on Dec 13th.
Did anyone get an email saying their financial aid will release by 2/1? I thought the previous email they sent out said it would come on that date or after on a rolling basis.
There was an email on 12/13 that said rolling notification of financial aid/merit beginning 1/17 and ending early February, so the email today seems to align with those dates.
ok thanks
Does anyone know if financial aid will be posted n the portal or sent via email?
S25 just received his. It was an e-mail with a link to the portal. Unfortunately, not enough to make it affordable.
Also the COA (Tuition and Housing) has shot up from from 89k to 93k. Got ~30K merit, I really appreciate Fordham being generous, but perhaps not worth it with the other options.
Same. Received ~30k a year, but with cost being ~100k a year it is just not realistically possible for us.
Yes, $30k is what we were offered as well. No dice.
Daughter previously received $25k and now her most recent offer is $42k per year. Brings things on par with OOS state schools. We are considered high income so any merit/aid was somewhat unexpected. Wish their expenses weren’t on the rise… she may receive an outside scholarship but they don’t stack at fordham? They take off 1/2 correct?
My daughter was deferred. When do students gets a final “no”? I kind of want her to accept it and choose one of the others but she’s waiting. I don’t want to travel to check out other schools she was admitted to, knowing she will always choose Fordham if accepted. Is there ever a final rejection or do you move to waitlisted until fall?
