A tradition unlike any other --however, this year with no Eldrick. Phil coming off an injury two weeks ago.

Been an odd year it seems on tour so far.

Looks like perhaps it could be time for the real passing of the torch from the Tiger/Phil era. I really like Jordan Spieth’s game/demeanor and would like to see him win.
Though i don’t know if it’s just the law of averages and regressing to the mean. Or if it’s the “holy moley I’m in the final group at a major” phenomenon that the Golf Channel had as recaps of his collapses this year, including when he called himself a “mental midget” after a Match Play loss to Ernie Els.

If Watson doesn’t win, I really like Matt Kuchar’s chances. After watching him tank the last two weeks I thought he might miss the cut.
Did it give your game hope seeing all the 7 and 9 strokes made by the pros?
Ever been /want to go to Augusta?

I’ve been to Augusta, my husband has been several times to the Masters and has played there, and I love watching the tournament on tv. It’s a beautiful course, even more spectacular in person. I’m rooting for Lee Westwood, and am very happy to see Fred Couples and Mike Weir on the weekend leaderboard.

My S and I met Jonas Blixt (currently in third) a few years ago when he was on the Nationwide (now called Web.com) tour. He gave my S some autographed balls and his glove. I asked him how much does he practice and he said, “Ten hours a day!” He is a great guy and I wish him the best. I remember a few years ago Jordan Spieth making the cut at a PGA tournament and he was only a junior in high school. My S and I have also seen him play.

Rooting for Miguel Jimenez to become the oldest major winner and to light on a victory cigar when they place the green jacket. He will then be the worlds most interesting man.

Love Masters week! We lived in Augusta for many years and used DH’s media passes often. DH has played many times thanks to the club’s generosity towards the media and vendors. We were shocked when the ticket waiting list opened up about 15 years ago and we got badges! It was like winning the lottery.

I wonder how he feels about the “you didn’t build that” speeches.

A little, but the courses that they are making those scores on aren’t the same ones where I make my snowman scores. I’ve never been a very good golfer.

It’s been a long time since I was married to an obsessed, low-handicap golfer and played some golf myself. No real interest in the sport now, even with the son of a friend playing on mini-tours. However,The Masters is different. I make time each year to watch and think how amazing it would be to go and see the beautiful course. My friend with the son playing professionally went a few years back, after we had a warmer than average winter. She came back devastated because she is a serious gardener and she only saw one azalea in bloom. All the others had bloomed and shed.

My dad lives about three miles from Augusta National. Many of the locals rent their houses out and leave town for Masters Week – the traffic and chaos is insane. Fifty-one weeks of the year, Augusta is a sleepy small city. Deega, when did you live in Augusta?

We lived there twice for three years each time, so I’ve been a couple times. DH went for four years I think and worked security a couple years. I liked seeing all the different Club Car golf carts at the business around town; many were themed to the business.

That IS cool. I’m rooting for Spieth too but it doesn’t look like Bubba is planning to go down quietly to a twenty year old! I like Bubba too though.

Rooting for Bubba! And Freddy - though I knew he never had a chance. Still great to see him play so well this week - at least until he put it in the water a few holes back.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Bubba win another one. I keep getting nervous waiting for Spieth to fall apart ala Rory a few years ago. This is a lot of pressure for a 20 year old.
