<p>That depends. When was the last date it was signed and when are you planning on reentering the US?</p>
<p>E.G. if it was signed in May 2009 you would have no problems reentering the US, as long as it’s before May 2010. If it was signed November 2008 you would want to get that signature as soon as possible. </p>
<p>The signature is valid one year and if yours was signed over a year ago you want to express mail the I20 to your university ASAP and get that signature. Without that a valid I-20 you are pretty much screwed.</p>
<p>Exactly what _Silence said. If you do not have a travel signature from less than a year ago, you need to express mail your documents to the US and get them signed. You will <em>not</em> be permitted to enter the country without the signature!</p>
<p>I highlighted travel signature because it is different from the initial entry signature. I assume you knew that already, but just in case.</p>
