Well…thankfully this was not by any means my first second or third choice BUT who likes to get rejected? No one as far as I know. Not a good day for colleges, rejected from American and Occidental, waitlisted at Villanova and Northeastern. IU…here I come unless by chance I get into GW. I wish the remaining group all the best…whatever is meant to be. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that kelly. Remember, if a school doesn’t want you, it’s their loss. I’m sure you have much to give no matter where you end up. Good luck to you.

I got rejected for the fall term but offered admission starting in January 2007…it was so weird. Big envelope and everything so I had my hopes up…too bad because I’m not waiting a semester just to go =(

Sorry Kelly, but didn’t you also get into UW Madison? Great school, and IU is a lot of fun if not top tier academically. Remember, all things happen for a reason!

accepted :)

I didnt even get an official acceptance, just something from the school I applied to congratulating me on my acceptance and advertising the school.

yeah that’s what i got too----it didn’t have any finaid stuff in it or any enrollment stuff in it right?—what school did you apply -to SIS?

mine was from school of public affairs and it just congratulated me on my acceptance and scholarship. No housing information or further details.

They won’t send out housing stuff until later…but if you’re accepted you just get a folder with regular admissions stuff on one side, and fin aid info in the other (plus an AU car sticker :P)

ummm… yeah, so I got that letter from the SPA “congratulating” me on my acceptance, but no official admissionpacket with info about fin. aid or anything else. Does this mean that I could still get merit money or admisison to the the Honors Program?? (Yeah, I definately got really upset because the letter didn’t mention the honors program and I thought that I didn’t get into it. I expected to get in-- I got into UCLA-- and was really suprised until I read this thread… )

I’m hoping I get into either American or GWU so I don’t have to choose between BU, Fordham Lincoln Center, or Emerson!!

from SPA directly.
No mention of scholarship or Honors :<
I’m very poor so I would need HUGE scholarship and max fed grants/loans to be able to go
OTOH, American IS my 8th choice (out of 9 to which I am applying)
:)

HOPING…thanks, yes got into Wisconsin-Madison and IU, considering IU for many reasons…which one did you imply is more top tier? I am really ultimately interested in music and business, and IU has excellent schools for both. Any opinions?

rejected. and i’m a little bit surprised. whatever… it wasnt my first choice anyways.

Same. Kind of weird. I won’t be attending either. I wonder how many of us there are.

guys, sorry to hear, but glad its not your first choice, THEIR lost! I also was rejected, frankly a little surprised since oringally this was considered to be a match/safety school! A classmate of mine today got rejected from BU and Norhteastern and into BC!! Go figure.

im another jan. acceptee. i totally didnt even notice at first when i opened it. it had fallen pretty far down my list anyway, so im not heartbroken. I got rejected from oxy too kelly, they dont know what theyre missing.

congrats to your friend on BC, tell him or her the party is on strathmore.

kellyconn: is IU Indiana? I was blown off by IU and accepted by AU…

srry guys… :(

those accecpted a semester later can try calling like whoa. Like you guys have priorioty over those completly weightlisted. I’d try calling and telling them u are interested, & who knows… maybe you’ll get in. Thats what i did for bing. I was admitted for the spring term… anyway i got in… then deicded not to go haha :p

i got rejected by oxy too! whoa.

it was a big blow to me because i was waitlisted at a few other schools. i’m still feeling a bit down, but i’ll get over it…with some ice cream :)

don’t worry guys–life goes on
