Thanks for the tip on the IT Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer. Something about the product name led me to believe it would be heavier than the CC+ Cream. I didn’t put 2 & 2 together and realize it was essentially a tinted moisturizer.
I bought a tube and my winter skin really likes it.
Because of a previous thread that has been closed, I discovered the tubing type of mascara. I used Clinique’s Lash Power and really liked it. I have decided that I am allergic to it, though. I have had nasal allergy symptoms all year long, and I never do that. A few weeks ago, I had pink eye and threw away my eye makeup as instructed by the doctor. I was not able to get to a Clinique counter, so I bought a waterproof (not tubing) mascara. My allergy symptoms have disappeared. That made me remember that many, many years ago, I was going on vacation and heard of a new mascara that washed off with soap and water, but did not smudge. It was the tubing kind. I used it and before I even got to the airport I was sneezing and eyes watering. It was awful. I finally decided it was that mascara because it was the only thing different. Bummer, too, because I really liked it.
Idk what “tubing” mascara is??
@hoggirl I thought we had discussed tubing mascara upthread, but I searched and found we had not. Must have been somewhere else. Sorry for the confusion.
Here is a link that explains it: https://www.cosmopolitan.com/style-beauty/beauty/g28691358/tubing-mascara/
I switched to tubing mascara about 3 years ago and it’s been a game changer. It never comes off or smudges until I take it off. Started with Kevin Aucoin and switched to Trish McEvoy. I may try a couple of the brands in the Cosmo article that are cheaper.
Another benefit is that it doesn’t get all over my white towels. When it comes off, it looks like little threads that rinse right off the towel.
Sort of related to this thread - Lord and Taylor is having 15% of most cosmetics right now.
I think I’m going to need to start wearing foundation soon, if the “spots” on my face don’t go away over winter.
