Congrats! What are his stats?

He has a 1280 SAT, he has a language disorder so the verbal side was a struggle- 700 math so we went TO here, usually he submitted his scores b/c I suspect schools really do want to see them. He has a 3.4 weighted, but it’s a weird scale, its a 4.0 weighted scale where a 4.0 is an A in an AP class, an A in a college prep class is a 3.7 so when school recalculate it, it comes out to a 3.6 or a 3.7. He is also highly ranked in a non NCAA sport- I don’t want to say which one so I don’t dox him, but he is on a nationally recognized team and placed well at the junior olympics this year. He also has the standard clubs, started one, just a member of a bunch of others and worked, community service etc. I think what keeps getting him in is his LORs- when schools read them, he gets in, when they don’t he doesn’t. He is this super sweet kid- I say he has magical powers where authority figures just love him. Both of his recommenders asked HIM if they could write him recommendations. I think that is what is helping him sometimes punch above his weight.

It sounded to me like there were some really strong students on the 3/12 date. I had assumed going into this that is one date was going to be denials with would have been today. I think both days will have both.

3/12 release was ‘sincerly’

Where is this logic from? Seems like literally all international students got rejected on February.

Someone posted it above but it seems unlikely. My guess is they (like most colleges) were slammed with apps plus there was no charge to apply.

Accepted-not really understanding logic of the process this year but good news

I was confused too
But this is unfair

No international students this year

Got rejected … an international student with 1520 SAT 4.0 uw gpa and valedictorian…… ecs were decent ( cancer research, ml alg implemented at national lvl aiding 15 million+ people, sports, community service + other good ecs (top 5 on my list )) , national and international lvl awards + different leadership roles … essays were good as well …. But games the game

Btw efc was low - 4k

Same, international, similar stats but my efc is just 1k so expected

As it is, they basically rejected most internationals with <$20k efc. Sad.

yh and i was hopeful cause my interviewer was so freaking niceeee.

My son received an email late January inviting him to learn more about the program in Bath, England, it says “for our top applicants”which I thought was a gimmick. The webinar was last Wednesday and the supplemental application was due Monday 2/26. I believe this is why he will hear 3/12.

Did anyone else receive that invite? I assumed everybody did.

Congrats, he sounds awesome to me. Don’t underestimate him  A new chapter in college in always exciting!
