<p>After reading this thread everyone should get the general sense of the tier system. I want to dispel a few absurdly wrong rumors that have been said on this post as well. SAE is on a path to getting in but it will be a few years, everyone will be off of sopro next fall except for psi u and chi o. chi o gets off sept 9th. Psi u is off of sopro sept 22nd, and went on sopro for violating very stringent ifc/src guidelines in regards to glass bottles not</p>

<p>if any frat did that they would be kicked off campus in a heart beat. </p>

<p>In other news chio has passed sdt, zeta is on the rise, skrappa and axo had better pledge classes then tridelt, and sig ep is king of the lower tier sororities.</p>

<p>^Psi U is definitely not off so pro sept 22nd. I have multiple friends in there (well one that used to be in there, got kicked out because of this membership review stuff that is depleting their chapter, and one that is still in there) that have resigned to the fact that Psi U is basically gonna be done pretty soon. The said that the house is definitely on so pro until into the 2013 school year but they both think it will be off campus before then. It’s not a good sign when even the brothers don’t think it will survive this.</p>

Psi U has never put anything in drinks. No idea who your getting your facts from but before you post **** about a frat make sure its actually true. Additionally, no psi u brother ever punched SRC in the face - that is a straight up lie. Psi u is off sopro in a matter of weeks. </p>

<p>^Okay Psi U, I’m sure. Unfortunately for you, you’re brothers say otherwise. I’ve also heard from a girl that was at your house at the time that a pledge punched the SRC member in the face. I also know for a fact that 6 of your 9 winter pledges dropped because of all the mess that you currently find yourself in. Sorry about your impending expulsion from IFC. Have fun without a pregame partner in 2013 and without mixers because if girls come they will end up on sopro.</p>

<p>Judging from all of your comments above maizeandblue21 you’re most likely in chi phi or sammy and its kind of sad that you’re trying to improve your rush through bashing multiple frats. SAE gets with girls who will never look at you, ZBT manages to kill your parties even without being in the ifc, chi phi does not mix with the most desirable sororities on campus, theta chi manages to pull top tier sororities every year because they have more game than you and you probably got dropped from rush there, and if you were in a desirable fraternity you would know that girls show up to houses regardless of whether the house is on sopro or having an official mixer. You are pathetic. You are not the frat star. You suck.</p>

<p>I’ve seen numerous occasions where a random girl walks into a mixer and every single girl says, “who is that?”. The good parties are almost always closed with the exception of welcome week, and even then top tier parties are generally invite only.</p>

<p>Please no incoming freshman believe any of this ********. Nearly all of these comments are simply from accounts made by greek life members trying to bash certain houses. Just come to welcome week, go party at all the houses and ask around. This is coming from a greek member whos house has been both randomly bashed and promoted, and none of the comments should be taken as ultimate truth. Stuff like this is what ruins greek life…</p>

<p>I find this entire thread to be very interesting/amusing, although there seems to be some uniformed “bashing” going on.</p>

<p>I am an alum of Psi U from the mid-1970s, when we were one of the premiere houses on campus. I realize the house has slipped in recent years, but there are some very positive things going on now, particularly in regards to the physical plant. A house designed by Albert Kahn is an absolute treasure that deserves to be treated and maintained with respect.</p>

<p>One thing I would like to point out - we never referred to our house, or any other house for that matter, as a “frat.”</p>

<p>I can only tell you about sororities, i honestly have no idea how it works with guys. But to be completely honest, if you’re rushing as a sophomore, you better know multiple people in the house you want to join. The primary reason that girls rush as sophomores is because they got screwed over in some way during rush in their freshman year and didn’t get the house they wanted. When I first came to Michigan, I didn’t want to rush right away AT ALL. I thought it was overwhelming how we were thrown into rush during the first few weeks of classes. But it ended up being MUCH better that way.</p>

<p>Bottom line: rush as a freshman. if you don’t like it, then drop out. it’s not a big deal. if it doesn’t work out, try again. but don’t delay it if you can avoid it. hope this helped!</p>
