I have a friend who was selected for a Merryl lynch summer program which she went to their office, then went to England, and some other things and all of this was free…

I know there’s a UPenn program but it costs $5200. Are there any business programs that are over the summer for high school students that are free?

Here in PA there are Governor’s Schools that are free (PA Dept. of Education pays for them). I guess other states’ gov schools are also free? We have one relating to business… The application process is already over but I don’t know what grade you’re in. For the business one , you apply during either during your sophomore or junior year.

The Governor’s School programs are probably worth checking out. Also, for a week during the summer, BB&T hosts the Summer Economics Institute at Clemson University for economics and public policy. They have two different sessions during the summer, each with 30 kids from across the country.
