Fresh Tomatoes - Got a great sauce recipe?

Put some EVOO in pot. Chop up onion and garlic and add some red pepper flakes. Sauté for a few minutes. Cut up tomatoes in tiny chunks. I leave the skin on. I prefer plums for sauce but have used regular tomatoes, too. Dump tomatoes in pot along with chopped up fresh basil. Pour in some red wine and bring to boil, then simmer for a few hours on low heat. Sometimes I add chopped carrots to my sauce or oregano instead of basil. I also sometime add anchovies or capers in with the onion and garlic.
