Freshman Seminars

Hello!

I was wondering if a current 1st year or later could elaborate on the class size of freshman seminars (COLA I believed they are called)? I am guessing they are small, but I couldn’t find any real numbers so far. Also, is it hard to get into one’s desired freshman seminar?

Thank You (:

They are generally small and my kid had no problem getting into one. When she registered there were plenty available. One of the advantages is that you get the professor as an advisor instead of having to wait until you declare a major late in your second year.

Here is a list of the ones for the Fall of '15. All the ones I have checked seem to be capped at 18. Lou’s List is a great resource if you don’t already know about it. You can start planning your schedule now and use The Course Forum to research courses and profs.
