<p>One of my friends who is a sophomore may apply to another school, in the same district, that will have an International Baccalaureate academy next year. What are the advantages of going to a International Baccalaureate academy? What are the disadvantages?</p>

<p>IB programs tend to have some very highly motivated and gifted people, but don’t think you’ll find an educational utopia.<br>
also, if you want to go to an IB because you think it will help you get into college, you’re delusional. IB will prepare you to go to the finest colleges in the world. It won’t help you get in.</p>
