Friend who depends on me for rides

<p>My friend always asks me for rides everyday when we have sports practice. His parents work late so they cant give him a ride. His house is like 7-10 min by car but its the opposite direction to my house. Also it takes 25 min if you walk.</p>

<p>I got really frustrated when he told me he didnt come to this practice just because I couldnt go that day and he was talking as if its my duty to give him a ride. After that I avoided eye contact with him after practice so he doesnt ask and when he did I just told him to walk home if he cant find a ride from someone else</p>

<p>So am I being too angry or is it my friends fault for asking me for ride everyday? Also our school doesnt have a late bus</p>

<p>You aren’t obligated to give him rides. If his house is 25 minutes away from the school by walking, then I don’t know why he’s asking for rides anyway.</p>

<p>If he’s into sports then a 25 minute walk should not be a problem–it’s an opportunity for him to get exercise.</p>
