Yep. Just important to keep the SSAR updated as grades come in.
It says if offered admission or deferred⦠So doubtful if updating this late will do anything regarding the decisions released next week, again unless offered admission or deferred. My son did fairly well, so Iām sure would love to update his if it matteredā¦
It states above, you only update grades if you were offered admission or deferred
Agree, it probably wonāt help, but it does not hurt to update it anyway. It takes under 5 minutes. Most people on this thread will probably get in, so it will be needed anyway. It might help for scolarships though, since they probably are starting reviews for that at this point.
Just wary of the UTK debacleā¦
I think it is important to follow their instructions. I would not update them unless you were offered, admissions or deferred they clearly do not want them.
Yeah, you might be right, but itās probably fine. I had to update for another schools and it gets resent to all SSAR schools automatically. They probably anticipate this and are equipped to handle it.
I think that was a UTK specific issue about how they were importing their information. I donāt think it was caused by the SSAR itself. I applied to 11 SSAR schools and have not had a problem yet, so Iām hoping nothing bad happens now.
yes! Here too. Best semester since pre-covid middle school.
I also had my best semester! 5.0!! sucks it wonāt count, but at least if I get deferred, I will have something good going for me.
Curious as to why? Iām not familiar with their admit rate (for OOS).
Well done you!
OOS is in the 25% or so range normally, but it might be a little higher this year since they let in way more than normal during EA (for only in state), so they might be expecting worse yield this year. I believe this is likely due to more students being ok going to UCF and USF as they have climbed the rankings a lot this past year. Now UF and FSU are not seen as the only ātopā schools in florida. I just said I think most people here will get in from the thread because CC folks tend to have much better collective outcomes that the general population.
Florida is the top school in Florida. There is no debate about that.
I know it is, but I believe that FSU, UCF, and USF are also equally seen as near top choices as well, just based on the higher application counts.
Well l, Florida is #28 in the nation for all colleges and universities and #6 in the nation for public universities. The others are not at that level. But, as a native Floridian who is a double Gator, they are rising in the ranks as are FIU and FAU. All very good for the state.
I just came here to say that itās kind of neat that I recognize a lot of you from VTech, UVA and Clemson threads. Looks like our kiddos are considering a lot of the same schools. Good luck to all of you!
S21 did Pathways First Year Abroad it was amazing. FSU has Study Centers in Florence, Valencia and London in Europe and Panama City, Panama. He did Fall/Spring in Florence and then move to Valencia for the summer. He made amazing friendships, he shares an apartment with his FYA friends. and got to travel all over Europe.
Also, if you are out of state and complete the first year abroad with a 3.0 GPA you get in state tuition when you go to Tallahassee.
If you have any questions let me know
We are in-state and deferred early action. We received this email the week before early action annoucements on 12/7.
Did anyone elseās portal change? I no longer have an application status under review or awaiting a decision.
