Last year some people got emails over night. Those people did get in, but many that never got the email did, too! Don’t lose hope!

Did anyone else notice the e-mail cc’s an @fsu address with the student’s initials?!

I’m confused - is the email a 100% confirmation of acceptance? I wish I could check for my kid, but unfortunately she won’t give me access and she is at school.
I’m not counting it, until my student’s portal changes. Positive sign? Yes, but our son has received mixed messages like these all his life with academics and sports, so…
I also feel that anyone who didn’t get this email shouldn’t feel that their student did not get in. Nothing is official until it’s in the portal…
On Facebook, an college advisor said it could be a glitch since FSU is trying to get 30k decisions out at once.

yes we got the email but it’s very odd. Nowhere does it actually say he has been admitted…

Ok- on Facebook - it was reported that the same thing happened last year and some people who got the email did not get in and vice versa. So probably best to not read too much into it. Good news that that we only have about 3 hours left.
utterly insane that they would do this two year in a row. Don’t they see how upsetting this is to jerk people around that way? Either they are incompetent or they are a**holes

I checked last year’s thread and to summarize:
Everyone who got the e-mail was accepted.
But plenty were also accepted who did not receive the e-mail.

Wow- really? The college advisor on Facebook said that some people who got it last year did not get in. But I’m hoping you are right. My kid confirmed she got the email. She has 1470 and 4.4.
How did you find out already?
When I set up the email. There is an email that says welcome to FSU on there.
