Accepted w/ Vires. 35 ACT Superscore, 4.7 W, 3.98 UW, 12 AP, Baseball, PT Job
Just insane stats here. Either Florida high schools are doing an incredible job of educating students or the New England schools are falling behind.
Florida really pushes acceleration in high school, more than other states.
Also, with tuition being so affordable it’s a no brainer for top FL residents to apply. As a PA resident it was easy to send S21 when he got the OOS waiver.
Anyone know the acceptance rate for EA? It seems like a lot of people got deferred to RD this year?
I read 39%
Interesting! Thank you!
8387 admitted out of 21966 from the graphic posted above. 38.2%
Son got in with Vires. 4.6, 1530, 13 AP’s XC team captain. Assuming he will be offered honors when that time comes.
He truly wants UF and we’re pretty hopeful there.
I read on another social media site that there were 10,000 applicants for honors which was double of the normal amount.
Ahh thanks I didn’t see the graph. Congrats to your son!! I’m sure he’ll do great wherever he goes!
A little more info on middle 50% from another group I follow

I think that person had some bad numbers. This was '23 UF honors with FSU having more regular applicants.
I can’t imagine FSU had only 5000 honors applications last year to UF’s 14000. I would think FSU would have more honors applications simply by virtue of FSU being more of a safety and it’s less of a reach to get into their honors program.
The person that stated those stats for this year is on the FSU advisory board. Her name is Allison Slater Tate and she was mentioned in the email we go to mentally prepare our children for the results.
Anybody have any idea how many OOS students they actually accept? If the acceptance rate has dropped to 23% I would think for OOS it’s 15% or so? My daughter would definitely go there - wish I could communicate that to them! We’re OOS however, seems to be a challenge.
Does anybody have any idea what starting wages for FSU graduates look like? I know when I checked a few years ago they seemed to lag behind many other schools in the area, at least for the business students.
Wow, that’s really interesting that FSU got 1/3 the applicants for honors last year compared to UF.
Trying to explain that could be a whole thread in itself.
