Fun Time! What secret ingredient do you add to typical dishes/recipes?

Redbug:

After reading your suggestion, I got ground beef/veal to make hamburgers tonight! I’ll add some bar-b-que sauce and everything else and even some trader joe’s frozen spinach, which I add to everything! Yum…my kids have been asking for hamburgers for awhile…tonight is the night! :)

My mom used to add half an envelope of Lipton Onion Soup Mix to hamburger meat before cooking…just kind of mushed it all in.

mom2-
I’ve been travelling, but I will look for the coffee cake recipe VERY soon. I promise!

When I had a rice cooker ( mine died sometime ago- open to replacement suggestions), I often made sticky rice & ate it with umeboshi plums or rice vinegar & toasted sesame oil.

I even used to drink apple cider vinegar in water- I actually liked it ( but I don’t think it is that great for your teeth)

[I</a> recently read this article & was inspired to pick up some fig vinegar at the grocery.](http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/allyoucaneat/2014242013_vinegar_a_million_uses_culinar.html)

I ate it with cavatappi & cheese & sliced fuji apples on the side. :)
