who’s daario naharis?
Daario was her lover /advisor/ enforcer who was left behind in the Bay of Dragons to keep the peace.
Oh yeah—totally forgot about him. Can they wrap up this in two episodes? Or will there be that thing during the rolling credits where they tell how everyone ended up?
@PhotographerMom I’ve been thinking about more dragons too…in the “history book” from the series (“The World of Ice & Fire”) there are rumored to be dragon eggs in the crypt of Winterfell. I was waiting for them to be found during the battle. May be too late now.
Dany must be missing Daario — she has none of her original squad to fight for her (except GW of course). Would be in character that he would show up and fight Euron or even the Mountain for her.
@gouf78 I would be so upset if they gave summaries in the credits! But now that the Night King is dead I can’t come up with an ending that doesn’t leave many loose ends - especially with less then 3 hours to go. Even worse would be a spin-off!
There are three GOT spinoffs in the works.

And prequel none the less! How disappointingly cliche — though not surprising
The more I think about it, the more I’m angry at how HBO has insulted our intelligence by having little or no military strategy this season.
They are going for emotional moments - the Dothraki burning swords being extinguished in the distance and Rhaegal being shot down from the sky, and we’re expected to forget that anyone with half a brain would use the Dothraki as archers in that scenario and that nobody, especially not Tyrion, would let Dany and the dragons go off without any recon or any consideration that Dragon Stone just might not be guarded by the enemy.
We’re all heavily invested in the story and the characters at this point, and so want to see the “ending”, but it’s just a shame that the HBO showrunners are dropping the ball all over the place.
I hope Martin finishes those last two books!
^As well as the fact that sending in a horde of Dothraki to be slaughtered would most likely result in a horde of undead Dothraki now fighting against you.
Let’s send in our best hand to hand combat troops when the WW’s are far from our walls, then wait until they’re in heavy combats with our forces to send the dragons. Um…
I would love to see Arya united with her beloved Dancing Master.
We never did see him die …
I so hope the conclusion of this series wasn’t influenced by the potential spin offs - that would be annoying.
Watched the behind-the-scenes footage from the last episode, and the show-runners say that Arya is indeed going off to close some green eyes.
Tyrion has green eyes, as does Cersei and, I think, Jaime.
Cersei would be too obvious. It’ll be Jaime. Or Tyrion…
@JanieWalker Dany also has green eyes on the show. (Though they are probably violet in the book.)
Possible morale boosters/ reinforcements for Jon in the next battle : The return of House Glover and Edmure Tully. Call me crazy, but I could definitely see Sansa working behind the scenes ( again ) to make it happen.
Possible backup for Arya : Jaqen H’ghar and Nymeria ( with her pack of direwolves ) - although that’s probably wishful thinking on my part .
I’d love to see Tormund Giantsbane return to Jon’s side with Ghost, too. I just don’t see those two sitting this one out- at all. Perhaps they’ll run into Brienne on the way… but that would be waaay too much to hope for.
I’m also excited to see what Yara and her fleet does in the next episode, too . Go Yara!
Again - I know it’s probably wishful thinking, but I really do hope we see more dragons arrive ( Hey- they’ve had enough seasons to grow! ) and the return of Daario with the Second Sons. I think Grey Worm would be happy to see his old friend Daario, too. And let’s face it - Grey Worm needs a big morale boost , too.
The only thing that seems certain to me after last week : Varys is toast in the next episode … literally toast.
Characters sure to die:
Varys, Jaime, Tyrion, Cersei, and one of the Cleganes.
That’s all I’ll bet on at this point.
Arya might not survive, but I’m not yet sure enough to put money on it.
Bronn is toast too!
I amuse myself with the idea that Varys will be the only one left standing. He always says he only wants what’s best for the people of Westeros.
I am betting Arya to be on the throne.
^I don’t know if I agree, but I like the idea.
Popular opinion on the boards is that it will be a ruling council of whatever heads of houses are left - Sansa, Yara, Gendry, Sweet Robin, Edmure Tulley, and maybe Bronn if he gets Highgarden.
^^^ But which of those people correctly predicted losing a 2nd dragon in the last episode?
