Game of Thrones- who will live, who will die, who will rule?

Yep, much better than something like “A History of Westeros.”

NOPE. Rooting for Tormund and Brienne over here.

I think Jamie will kill Cersei and then turn the knife on himself

Theon will die trying to redeem himself or rescuing his sister

I don’t even know what’s going to happen to Jon & Dany, but I see Sansa ruling it all with Bran and Arya at her side

Tyrion lives

Tyrion Lives. Bran dies.

I started watching the series about 3 (4?) weeks ago and, yes, watched it all in that time. That doesn’t even include this past week when I’ve been off on a very busy spring break (actually I haven’t seen the last 5 minutes of the last episode of season 7). So it’s all really fresh but I haven’t had much time to form a lot of theories or alliances. I love Arya… would love to see Cersei go down and most of the rest of them live happily ever after somehow but I doubt that’s how it’s going to happen.

Did I read somewhere that Bran becomes the night king?

@washugrad
That’s ultra-binge watching! Hats off!

If Sansa and Tyrion live, I would not be surprised if they end up actually getting married for real. It would be a fitting end to their saga.

Tyrion can do better! I think he needs someone more sharp and witty…and older.

Sansa can do better! I think she deserves someone more, shall we say, ethically consistent. Also closer to her own age and less likely than she is to end up in a position of power. Gendry would do. I think he was reintroduced into the story mostly to give Sansa someone to marry.

Highly recommend the NYTimes.com GOT watching guide newsletter for anyone looking to binge the major episodes of all the seasons!

So here’s my take… Cersei will lead her “army” north to “help” destroy the Night King. The battle will be fierce… Jon will ride on one of the dragons… (and I am betting he will die - around episode 3). Dany will ride her dragon north and destroy the White Dragon and eventually they will kill the Night King.

Once the White Walkers have been destroyed (as soon as the NIght King is dead), Cersei will land her mercenaries from across the sea and turn on those remaining after the Battle of Winterfell… who will be left? Arya and Sansa… yes. Bran - probably not. Tyrion yes for a time…

Jaime will fight for Cersei reluctantly knowing she is carrying his child… at least for a time.

The Red Witch will come back (as she promised in Season 7) for one last time and resurrect Jon Snow again. Remember his father is Rhaegar Targaryen… and he wrote the Song of Fire and Ice - the name of series… and its about his son Aegon - aka Jon Snow.

The second sons will arrive from over the seas to help Dany defeat Cersei.

Jon Snow is Dany’s nephew… if she is alive she will sit on the throne… if dead Jon Snow will… (And Arya will kill Cersei)

@SATXMom2

Jon Snow has a more rightful claim to the throne. He is the son of Rhagear, Dany’s older brother who was heir apparent, therefore he is ahead in the line of succession.

Okay - I’m filling out a sheet with l the names of characters and when they die for a local friendly betting pool.

Cersei’s unborn baby (miscarriage) - episode 1 or 2

Varys - episode 3

Melisandre - episode 3

Tyrion (it’s horrible, because I don’t want him to die, but I think he’s a goner) - episode 3

Jaime - episode 4

The Mountain - episode 6

Cersei - episode 6 (though I am not convinced she’s going to die at all)

Bron, John Snow, Gendry, Aria, Sansa, Samwell, Baby Sam, Gilly live

That’s what I’m betting on. I’m not guessing about anything else yet.

Does anyone think there is a chance Cersei is lying about being pregnant? It seemed oftly convenient when she hit Jamie with the news.

@gallentjill I am guessing no - I don’t think she would have been willing to alienate Jaime if she thought he was the only other Lannister left. I think she’s actually pregnant with his child. Her children have always meant everything to her, so if she has one in the way, she’s more willing to risk losing Jaime (the only other person she’s ever cared about) with her behavior.

Yes, but I think Jon should keep his mouth shut about this because he can’t prove that he’s the child born to Rhaegar and Lyanna. Westeros would not respect his claim. If Jon, Dany, and their allies manage to defeat the White Walkers and also defeat Cersei, they need to put someone on the Iron Throne whose claim will not be questioned. That person is Dany.

The neat solution to this problem is for Dany to marry Jon. That way, their child (the one Dany’s already carrying) becomes the next heir to the throne. Practically everyone would think he/she is heir through Dany, but in fact it would be through Jon. Of course, Jon would struggle with the idea of the marriage because it’s too incestuous for someone of his background (though not for a Targaryen), but on the other hand, he would not want his child to grow up as a ■■■■■■■.

But Jon’s may issues become a moot point as the season progresses because I think both he and Dany are going to die. Their child may survive, though.

I have been re-watching from the beginning in anticipation of Season 8 … it’s amazing what you miss the first time around!

Arya will be King. Not queen, lol, but king. A royal first. And The Hound will be Hand of the King. And as she looks at her subjects, she will repeat her Kill List with a smile on her face.

Tyrion will die in some big sacrificial way. The man who never really had convictions or scruples will have them when it counts.

The remaining dragons will save the day.

I’m hoping the NIght King and Cersei hook up, she kills the Night King and takes her place as the Night Queen. Seems fitting she would be Queen of the Dead and the Damned.

On another note - since Jon has already died, is it possible for the Night King to turn him into an undead zombie? I’m thinking that all of the characters who have died and come back to life (Jon, Beric, Mountain, etc) are immune to zombiedom.

Everyone dies and the Children of the Forest will return. I don’t really see what gives the Tagaryans any rights over Westeros.
