Here’s USC admittance stats: http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/private/1112/USCFreshmanProfile2011.pdf

What I’m curious about is why is your income so low if you are a quad legacy?

Thanks! And my dad is self employed and if you know anything about taxes you can craft it how you want if you’re self employed. Any other advice arkhaik?

Be aware that UC admissions selectivity varies based on division (Letters and Science, Engineering, etc.) and sometimes major.

Majors for ucb, ucla, and ucsd is biomedical engineering and ucsb will be engineering undecided or economics

BioE is one of the most competitive majors to get into at several of the schools you have listed (especially Johns Hopkins, UCB, and UCSD), but your stats are decent so you have a good shot. I’d say you’re a match at UCB, UCLA, UCSD, Claremont McKenna, and USC. You’re probably in for sure at Boston University, UCSB, and U. of Washington. Chicago and Hopkins are probably reaches.

Thanks! I think Johns Hopkins BME/BioE is too much of reach that I may choose economics as a major there because I am interested in economics as well.

Shameless bump please <3

Would I have better chances at the UC’s if I put my intended major down as engineering undeclared rather than bioengineering/biomedical engineering?

I think CMC would like you and probably give you a leadership merit scholarship.

That would be amazing because I want to play water polo for them because they are recruiting me, but won’t offer me scholarship or automatic acceptance :/

bump please!

Most D3 schools especially heavily academic ones (MIT is EXACTLY like this) won’t offer automatic acceptance or sports scholarships just because they really don’t focus on sports. But you have the grades and ECs and based on a little bit of info the personality to get in on merit anyways. And the other day I was looking at their merit scholarships and you seem to fit the bill for their leadership one. But you have to get the app. in by Dec 1st!!

yeah I just finished my essay and now all i have to do is press submit, but yeah all d3 schools ive talked to and some lower level d1 schools have shown interest, but no scholarships so I’m thinking about academics now but i hope so ! the common app didn’t let me show all my ECs though i dont think :/

At Berkeley, bioengineering and engineering undeclared are generally thought to be among the most selective majors for freshman admissions.

Bleh I know -__-
