Hi all, I didn’t see one thread for Garcia summer scholar this year so I’m making one. Does anyone has an idea when will the admission results be out? How many international students do they usually admit?
Got a confirmation email saying that decisions will be released around Mid-April. I have no idea how many international students are accepted though.

i got one saying they received my app and is under review, the results will be out mid april

I think only international students can send their app via email

Just wondering - would it be possibly be beneficial to email them at this point in time to update my resume with a relevant award I just received?
have u guys received an update? they sent an email like last week saying it would be out by the end of last week but i haven’t gotten anything

Hi Jennifer. My daughter is a rising junior. She was excited to get to the program. She has 4.0 UW, 4.91 W, valedictorian middle school, highest rank in her school, AP history- 5, 3 APs in progress ( Stat, Calculus, Eur H) Bronze medalist from the congressional award, 1 NASA award, and multiple debates and ethics bows awards. She was rejected. I wanted to understand if it was because She had lack of research experience…it is the only thing she was lack of. The program is not that competitive so That is why I got surprised. Can you please advise your thoughts since you were accepted?
