My school has three finalists, two Asians and one African American, and it is not even academically accepted school according to the state rating. Do they make us compete among each other???

Sent from my SCH-R820 using CC

The lady that emailed me asking for citizenship verification contacted me to tell me that the college verified my citizenship

Four finalists from my school in Mississippi. All African American . It makes me very nervous. I think we may have been the only Mississippi finalists as well but I’m not sure. Still uneasy about it all.

Let’s remain hopeful; there will be exciting news for us tomorrow or Wednesday. I put all of my trust in God!

Oh well. I’m super nervous. I don’t know how many finalists in my school but it’s a small school with mostly rich Caucasian students who would throw a huge fit about “inequality”. lol.

@SciMan: My school is just the opposite. It’s a bunch low income AA. Our schools is known as one of the worst schools in my city.
Hey guys, I am as well a finalist and I come from a small town of 3000 people in Alaska. I am Alaskan native and while looking through its apparent that this is definitely not the majority of people considered a finalist. Knowing this, my hopes are very high right now but I’ve looked at past winners and usually only 2 or 3 winners come from Alaska so I’m very worried. I would like to wish everyone good luck and I will probably be one of the last people to find out either way since mailing takes a while to get up here :/
