<p>im worried about my status… i received an email that HSF had not received my SAR report and well i sent it in again via express next day mail on tuesday… and well i received the email again… it says that they only accept two samples, the one you get in the mail and the HTML summary… i sent in the PDF summary… that one is valid too right?? i mean it has the same info… well i called Gates and they told me that i was completeee so i dont know whats up?</p>
<p>hey i havent received an official letter yet, but frog prince it said a check has been sent april 4th hmm dont know what that means yet. I called again today and now they say some decisions will be mailed on april 10th …i really can’t wait any longer-it’s killing me~</p>

<p>What did the school use to gap the Federal EFC with the school’s family contribution? Don’t they call it unmet need?</p>
<p>There is no statement on the financial award letter that says “unmet need.” </p>
<p>It simply states: Expected Family Contribution: 10k That’s what was scaring me. If it stated EFC 800 and Unmet need: 9.2k, I’d be at peace. I guess I can work this out with the financial department and Gates.</p>

<p>Check with your school’s financial aid office. They work with you to ensure that you can attend school. Most schools allow students to increase their student contribution by filing a petition. You could possibly ask for an increase in your student contribution to $10,000. Gates pays the student contribution, you receive the credit and pay the EFC.</p>
