<p>I got in as a finalist, and I spend about 15 hours on essays. And probably an additional 3 hours on the rest of the application.</p>

<p>I submitted it on the very last day too, but because I was rewriting every single freakin essay cuz the ones before sucked. Were you guys able to come up w/answers to them all? One of them I had to kinda bs because I couldn’t think of anything…</p>
<p>i did them like 1 a day 2 weeks before they were due, and a teacher revised all of them. this teacher had revised 4 of my school’s applicants frmo last year. THE 4 APPLICANTS ARE GATES M SCHOLARS NOW. my teacher told me my essays were better than the 4 of them and that she cried on 2 occassions.</p>

<p>I can’t remember all the prompts anymore, but I was happy with just about all my responses. I think maybe the only one I was “eh” about was the one that had to do with how a situation where you were treated unfairly.</p>
