<p>Same thing happened to my friend. She still don’t know whether or not she made it in. But from what I found out calling for her, GMS said that all finalists should be notified by now. If not, applicant are waiting for their hard copy of rejection letter.
But please don’t let this bring you down, you never know what is actually going on.

<p>I am so impatient right now. I could be working on my senior paper but instead I’m browsing the internet and CC finding information I already know about this scholarship…specifically the dates of the notifications…I am going crazy.</p>

<p>I’ve emailed and called like two times… "Notification goes out as of May 1st’…but that’s not what has happened in previous years as you may all know.</p>
<p>Jfbycc…I don’t think it’s May 1st since we have to make our college decisions by that date. I’m sure that this scholarship is a huge make/break decision factor for the schools many of us will attend. Maybe April 1st??</p>

<p>GMS emailed me in response to a question and said May 1st as well… it really doesn’t make sense… how can we decide on a college if we don’t know our funding situation… I hope that May 1st date is wrong.</p>
<p>I looked at the GMS timeline. We will find out the decisions Mid-April, but if for some reason it takes awhile for the letters to come to us we will find out May 1st at the LATEST. Hopefully we get big fat envelopes the beginning of April, I am getting tired of waiting so much this year. School decisions, scholarship decisions, etc. T.T</p>

i need to make sure my file is complete/ask if it was okay that i sent a likely letter since that’s all i had at the time.</p>

<p>Im also blessed to be a finalist this year. I sent in all my stuff, they just have to verify my residency info with my college. Hopefully it all work out for the better.</p>

<p>I’ve been put on another waiting period. They have to wait for the university to verify with Homeland security that I’m eligible for aid even though they verified my citizenship with Homeland security. </p>
<p>They have to do it before April 8th in order for me to be eligible. Hopefully it all goes fast. Even though the Dept of Homeland security is one of the slowest bureaus of the US-Govt.
I’m comforted that my fate lies within the LORD. With or W/O GMS.</p>

<p>I have heard back from UCSD, UCLA, and Berkeley, and I’m still waiting for Ivy Leagues to come out.</p>
