<p>I’m Asian and I was assigned an ID from the telephone system; my last name starts with an “r” if it matters.</p>
<p>I don’t want to get my hopes up, but those this mean we’re Gates Scholars?</p>

<p>Yup. I messed up on my birthdate at first because I entered all 4 digits of the year, I believe it’s formatted like: mmddyy</p>

<p>i’m asian i had received my id, but i think i’m going to wait for my hard copy before i tell everyone. I went crazy when my info went through and my id came in. I hope it isn’t a bug in the system…</p>

<p>When did the people who have their IDS submit their stuff? I know that GMS notifies their scholars based on a rolling system. I’m guessing if you submitted your stuff earlier you find out earlier?</p>
<p>i sent mine around March 22nd. I don’t think they are too big on rolling notifications this year, since no one had been notified before April, unlike last year</p>

<p>ok…im new nd all, and as well as everyone else, is extremely stressed about the suspense(seeing as of how im posting at 1:14 am) but my issue is that my counseler put my gpa down as a 3.24 when i calculated it to be atleast a 3.3. i even had a different counselor calculate my gpa and had the same i did. would gates go solely on what a counselor puts down as my gpa, or will they actually calculate it themselves using my transcript? or will i still be in the clear even though my gpa may be off by a point, but my essays are outstanding. Overall… my gpa issue is the only thing im worried about…:(</p>
