<p>@doctorani-My son received an e-mail this morning that he was a semi-finalist. The next step is due Feb 15th. Good luck to you!</p>
<p>Unfortunately I wasn’t semifinalist. How did they choose semifinalist?</p>
<p>From the GE Reagan Scholarship Foundation website:</p>
<p>"To be eligible for this award, applicants must:</p>
<p>demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
demonstrate financial need;
be citizens of the United States of America;
be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States; and
plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelors degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year."</p>
<p>There is no mention of how many semifinalists were chosen.</p>
<p>I actually meet all those criteria. And go past.</p>
<p>I am sorry, D. That just means that you have something better in store for you! If anyone on these threads could figure out what admissions/scholarship committees really look for, I think we wouldn’t need the threads!</p>

<p>I was just notified by email that I’ve been selected as a finalist! I hope that some of you received the same news! Does anyone know how many people applied for the scholarship this year and how many people were selected as semifinalist and finalists? </p>
<p>I am a finalist and from a earlier email I received there were 120 semifinalists. Someone said there were 30 finalists last year but I am not quite sure. Do all finalists get the scholarship?</p>
<p>Wow, I’m surprised that there was only 120 semifinalists. Did they send that email to all semifinalists, because I don’t remember seeing that. I’m curious to know how many finalists there are this year. And no, not all finalists get the scholarship, but I think most of them do. </p>

<p>Do you mind me asking what questions they asked you in your interview I interviewed on Tuesday the questions I was asked weren’t what I was expecting. I really enjoyed my interview though:)</p>
