How much cancellation/interruption did you choose?
Don’t recall. When I looked at the website there were 3 options and I chose the middle one.
I have 4 trips planned this year. I am considering annual Allianz basic because I have good trip cancellation protection through my CC.
Does anyone know what do they mean by emergency medical coverage? Does it include pre existing conditions? As an example, if I have a bad cold/flu, would it be considered as emergency? I have high BP. If it spikes while on a trip, would it be considered as emergency.
The rate is quite reasonable for my age. It’s only 125
I just checked and my CC has some trip cancellation insurance too! That’s helpful!
Thanks. The middle one has the option to change the amount of the coverage or trip cancellation or interruption. Just wondered if you had changed the coverage.

I just checked Amex platinum trip insurance benefits, and it does include emergency air lift, and emergency medical treatments. They defined emergency medical treatments as the treatment that could be done when returned home.
I don’t think I will need additional coverage.

SAS is canceling 1000 flights in April due to high fuel costs. Something folks should be aware of and is unknown what other airlines may do.

I admit I’m slightly nervous about the TSA delays and now these SAS cancelations. H and I have many week long trip to Scandinavia planned that we are supposed to take on Finnair in May. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get derailed.
Most of the flights being canceled are short haul flights within Europe. Long haul flights will probably be fine.
SAS did not buy fuel futures as customers bought tickets?
No idea—my friends and we are not flying SAS—we are on a different European airline and keeping fingers crossed our flights don’t get derailed.
I just spoke with someone in the office who came back from FLT to NYC. She was at the airport 3 hours early because of the reporting. She said there was no wait at the security line, so she had to kill 3 hours at the airport.
D1 said the bankers at her firm are still traveling and haven’t had too many issues.

Wrong travel thread, oops!
DIL said it only took her 5 minutes to get through Dulles (DC) airport last weekend. BUT I’ve heard the horror stories about Atlanta and Texas.
I came back through Dulles last evening with Global Entry. The machine snapped my picture, I walked unimpeded through the queue and the agent said I was all set. 30 seconds maybe?
It was in the 7:30-8:00 time period and there were only a few international arrivals.

Flew out of Bradley this morning. TSA Precheck was very fast, no line at all. Option for facial recognition. Very quick.
Lines to check baggage were also very short.
The regular TSA area had a longer line. I have no idea how long that took.
We arrived at the airport 1 1/2 hours before our flight, and we still had over an hour sitting at the gate before we boarded.
