Genetics or Anatomy and Physiology?

I’m thinking either a major in finance and a minor in computer engineering or a major in aerospace or bioengineering with a minor in math. I’m still trying to decide between those, but I know that I want to do at least something in engineering and maybe something in business. I’m looking at U of I, Purdue, UMich, UW Madison, Iowa State, University of Iowa, or Ohio State. Eventually I want to be able to build and create things. I have a list of inventions that I want to make, and I’d like to be able to create and sell them.

What would be better to take if I’m thinking about bioengineering?

Thanks,

These are the course descriptions from my high school catalog BTW:
Genetics:This college level course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of genetics. Students are acquainted with
not only classical patterns of inheritance but also present day findings in molecular genetics. Laboratory experiments
provide active participation in demonstrating and applying the theories of genetics and biotechnology. Present day
bioethics issues in biotechnology are addressed.
Anatomy:This college level course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of human anatomy and physiology. Partic-
ular emphasis is placed on animal dissections to help the students learn how the human body functions. Students may
apply to earn dual credit.

What science and math classes have you taken so far?

I would say Genetics would be more useful.

However, note that bioengineering is the only engineering specialty that requires you to get a graduate degree. What you want sounds more like Industrial Engineering.

Most of these are in different states. Unless your state has reciprocity exchanges, they will be very hard to afford since financial aid is used for the state’s own applicants, not out of state’s applicants. Some of these may have merit aid.
