George Washington University Early Decision 2 Thread

God the dorm choice is tricky. I’m considering thurston though because I want the large number of room mates and I have a friend who got in Ed 1 and she wants thurston too. So I figure it’d be a good transition that we’d be both in the same building

what about Crawford?

Crawford is just OK, not great. good location though, but old.
@ whatsmyusername: I recommend you just let roommate to be chosen by the school, for one reason:it is just more exciting.
It gives you a chance to know more people. Usually the roomate you have now won’t be the one you’ll have in sophomore year anyway, since you end up interacting with people of your same interests anyway. The Sophs and Junior roommates will be the ones who’ll become your lifetime friends.

If you were awarded a merit-based scholarship, it would have said on the portal itself.

Is anybody else thinking of/ know how to do an internal transfer?
I’m in CCAS, but I really want to switch into Elliott now.
Do you think it can be done before the semester starts?

I’m living in Thurston next year!!!

Has anyone been notified how much financial aid/scholarships you are receiving ?

I think I’m going to end up in Thurston. Not quite sure how I feel about that haha.
Are you guys on the FB page!? I don’t know your real names, but if you find me, add me!

They call it “Thirsty Thurston”… add me im Adam L.

Can someone chance me?

I know this was a thread for ED2 candidates, but hopefully someone can chance me considering that most of you have gotten in and you’re kind of experts on this stuff  thanks in advance!

Oh also I’m applying to Elliott!

I would love to help you!!! I am attending GWU next year and was accepted ED2…, the acceptance rate for RD is exactly 30 percent which is 2-3 percent lower than years past to make it more competitive as they accept more people through ED1& 2… GW looks at applicants holistically- if it were me I’d take you because you are overly ambitious and hardworking- your SAT does not reflect who you are… I got in with a 27 ACT

Thanks so much!! Im just a little worried because I’m applying Regular decision to this school and I felt like that throws a wrench at my chances, not to mention my relatively low SAT scores. I’ve been reading this thread and I feel like a lot of people have gotten in with similar stats so I feel a little more confident, but at the same time you guy s showed a bigger interest than me and applied ED. I totally would have done that but I applied ED somewhere else and didn’t get in so this became my top choice later on. Does it help that my guidance counselor has sent in my mid year report? I’ve been doing extremely well, over a 4.2 in both quarters, with three APs and a couple honors courses. This has been my toughest schedule all throughout high school but I’d say I’m succeeding quite well in it.

What was your GPA if you don’t mind me asking?

We need a RD thread. whos with me?

^^^do it!!!
