I’m Katelyn and I’m from Texas. Where is everyone else from?

Congratulations PoliSci007! HOPEFULLY we will all be joining you! I have similar stats to you- 3.75 UW and a 2040 SAT so that reassures me a little bit
I followed your link but it says that you must use your NetID to get your GWID but I don’t believe I have one of those yet??

And hey Waaris, if we get in (fingers crossed) then we will probably be in the same classes!

I’m from massachusetts. Also that link is only for current GW students I think. We wouldn’t be able to use that link until we’re accepted

Whoops, I mistyped my SAT- it’s a 2140 (superscored).

And does anyone know what the deadline is to send the mid-year report? Because my school still hasn’t run our new ranks/GPAs yet.

i applied RD everywhere.
will tell u ofc unless one of us leaves CC by then

got the GW Id, but i don’t think we can log in until its decision time.

What did the email say?

I called the people at the IT desk, saying that it is strange that we haven’t received our emails… however, we don’t need them till login day, and we can call our admissions counselors on Tuesday, Since monday is MLK day…

also if you email gwadm@gwu.edu, they will give it to you. best of luck people (9 more days). There is an official facebook group for the class of 2017 that is very active from the ed1 students.
katelynsmith36, I am positive that you will get in with those gpa/sat scores. hope to see you around Foggy Bottom next year. once again I offer my email address, just pm me

I looked at the Facebook page for the Class of 2017 and it made me even MORE excited/anxious! I want to know already so I can (hopefully) start thinking about a roommate, etc.
And thank you PoliSci007. I REALLY hope you’re right!

Does anyone happen to know about financial aid? Will they send your financial aid package along with the decision or does that come later? Also, what is this I have read about a Presidential scholarship? What is that & did you have to apply for it on the app?

SO MANY QUESTIONS haha

Hi everyone, I actually just joined this site and I switched my application from RD to ED II as soon as I found out I got an NROTC scholarship. Is anyone else planning on doing ROTC there? Its nice to have a chance to talk to people going to GW so early.
I never had an admissions interview, does that play a heavy role when it comes to acceptance?

No it doesn’t, since it is not required… just let your personality show throughout the application… so what they’d see in an interview will shine on your essays, recs etc…

Welcome to EDII…

Does anyone know when we’ll be notified?

I believe it was on a Wednesday or Thursday last year? So maybe the 5th or 6th. Got my id email today! These next few weeks are going to be dreadful with anticipation

Just checked my application status again, looked at the financial aid forms. The early decision app one? One of the forms said it should be sent by January 9th. Anyone have any idea about this?

I just got my ID email today too and they told me that my application was incomplete. Way to give me a heart attack! Turns out I am missing an Early Decision Agreement form that I had no idea we needed! Goodness. But thankfully I can still turn it in. Did anyone else have this problem?? I feel like I scoured their website and found no mention of and ED agreement besides the check-box on the Common App

Also, the website said that they haven’t received my FAFSA, but I went onto the FAFSA website and it said that it processed on the 7th. Shouldn’t GW have received it by now?

The only thing I know about that is the Ed agreement in the common app. You have to have your parent and counselor fill it out as well

I honestly haven’t been sleeping!

I had a rejection letter nightmare and an acceptance letter dream celebration…

3 weeks max I can wait …AHHH

Sent from my iPhone

anyone else anxious?

That would be legit, Katelyn. Already a potential bus :)

Would you mind chancing me for ED2? I’m aiming for Elliot’s school of International affairs!
My focus is a double major in IR and political comm. with a minor in Chinese.
