Anyone else anxiously waiting for decisions? I think I would’ve just preferred a rejection back in December than a deferral.

Im definitely getting anxious, I think I’ll know how that decision will go for me, a rejection. Im holding out some small hope that I’d maybe get accepted but statistically, I have an extremely low chance of getting in.
Gtown is definitely my top option, but I’ve tried moving away from it and instead focusing on the smaller LACs on my list. Definitely took some of the edges off of Georgetown’s descisions.

Anybody knows when decisions will come out for deferred EA applicants? Will it be the same date as RD?
I believe so. By April 1st. Ironically, April Fool’s Day.

Deferred EA will come out as a part of the RD round. Although they list April 1st as their official release date, the last two years they’ve released them a day or two early. The class of 2027 got their results on 3/29, and the class of 2026 got their results on 3/26.
But who knows, they may throw us a curveball!

Whole family is so nervous for my D. Its a long shot for her, but I can tell she’d drop all her choices in a heartbeat for Georgetown. We’re hoping her ECs and interview makes up for her SAT. Her GPA couldn’t be any higher. No one else applied from her school that we know of, so we’re hoping that helps her chances. Good luck everyone!!!

Hello! Today was my interview which was held online and I was nervous as hell​:sob:, but the questions were very much anticipated so I’ve prepared my answers beforehand but still I feel a bit unsure because I think something was off with the interviewer, wish me luck or I’m cooked fr

Hi! So i unfortunately didn’t turn in my sat scores or transcript in time, did i miss my opportunity with georgetown? RD
I’d say it comes down to the circumstances that are affecting you. Per the Georgetown website, it says that all RD applicants should have all their application materials “postmarked” (I’m interpreting this as submitted) by January 10th:
You should submit your SAT scores through College Board, and try to get that transcript ASAP. I’d advise reaching out to the Admissions office, finding your Georgetown regional admissions counselor, and contacting them directly. If circumstances would have affected your ability to turn those in, I’m sure they’d be understanding.
I literally thought this thread was for Georgetown University Qatar, I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention I apologize for any confusion I caused regarding the admission process

There aren’t too many differences in the application process for US & Qatar, tmk, so you’re not far off
