DS also got a phone call and then an email saying he was admitted off the waitlist. On the fence about accepting as he’s committed to Vanderbilt, but grateful to have the choice.

Any news anyone ? And anybody still holding onto Hope? My sons friend got a call yesterday from the AO but he is college of arts & science . My son is SFS
No news yet but keeping my fingers crossed. Was the student who received the phone call domestic or intl? I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything

Did they get accepted after the call? I got a call today but I’m not sure if I’ll be accepted. I told the guy that I would love to attend but does that mean I’ll definitely get accepted

Hi guys, it’s been a long road but I thought I’d update any future readers that I was accepted off the extended waitlist! Received a call yesterday, then an email, and finally the status update today. Feel crazy lucky right now from deferred early to this

Hey, did you have a deadline to accept your offer?
I see you asking a couple of people off the waitlist about their deadline to accept or decline and wondering if you are asking because you think if they decline then maybe someone else will get an offer? Just a guess.
I know two people who have gotten in off the waitlist and were given approx 72 hours to accept. But the deadline was kind of moot because the school calls in advance to ask if you will accept if offered admission (in both cases they were clear they would not offer any financial aid). If you say “yes” they say they will get back to you soon. When the actual offers came in the students officially had about three days to accept or decline but they had already verbally accepted before getting the offer so it seems very unlikely they would not accept at that point. Just sharing in case that possibly addresses the nature of what your question is possibly trying to get at.
oh i see, that makes sense. I’m just confused because it’s been about a week since someone I know was given the formal offer and it seems like it’s still available but they haven’t accepted it so I was just kinda confused. Thank you for the explanation!
