Hey everyone! I’m a little behind. Are decisions being sent by email? If so, have any prospective SFS students heard?
Haven’t heard yet! I’ve only heard of one person getting in… from this thread atleast. I check my email about every fifteen seconds, but I’ve heard they come out around 5pm…
ya, I check my email everyday at like 5:30 to see if I have anything.

Applied to college as physics major
I’m a sophomore now so i would be a junior
College GPA: 4.0
SAT: 1430/1600 (just math and reading)
Lots of extra activities for both college and HS
Essays very good
Recommendation should be very good (writen by a Georgetown alumni actually)

High school GPA: very very very bad
@SallyByGravenor All decision come out by email, mine came in last Thursday for SFS
@EconDon23 I have a 3.7 gpa but I think GU made their decision on me with the transcript that showed a 3.66. I have a high school GPA of 4.8 weighted 3.3 unweighted, I only passed 3 AP exams, my SAT I score was 1790. Honestly I considered my stats to be pretty average compared to most admitted students. However, I think my essays, ECs, and letter of rec are really what got me in. Stats is not everything believe me.
Yeah I know @Gonzalo0927 but they’re a good start and the essays are a good finalizer. So far people with amazing stats have been accepted from what i’ve seen

Oh did anyone get accepted yesterday? I’m getting a bit frustrated with GU admission. Waiting until June is a torture.
So I got an email on april 15 asking for my deans report and my transcript. I had accidentally sent them to the wrong place. So I quickly sent them then asked if the office had received them. my response was
“Thank you for the follow up.
Items arrived and your file is
complete. We will now present it
to the committee over the next
few days.”
This was on April 26 so I think they have already reviewed my application but I haven’t heard back. anyone have an idea of what happened? I think I’m going to be rejected.

I wonder how the application processes are for other top schools; it can’t be this outdated.
I just called the admissions office and they said they do not necessarily let the decisions when the decisions are made. If you haven’t heard anything from GU yet, it could mean that the decisions are already made but not sent. They told me it is up to the committee officer who is making the decision. I hope this helps.

just got admitted to SFS!
@dhdidnd is right, I asked for an early review on Monday, and they responded really quick that morning said they will review my application as soon as possible, and in the afternoon the admission officer told me that the decision for me is a “likely admit”. Even they made the decision on Monday, the official admission letter just arrived now.
@Ireallywhat2 congrats! Did you have a well enough reason to ask for an early read?z
