@noahmillz lmao. You’re probably right. I’m big into forums, so when I enjoy a thread I follow it pretty religiously; plus, there’s so much good information that someone could possibly use next year when they transfer to GU or college X
If we’re all still here and active on the 27th, we should take a moment of silence for the rejection massacre of 2016. Looks like rejections were all notified at once, based on that other thread
@lostinthesauce21 I wouldn’t do that because all hope is not lost. I know it may seem bad with everyone getting their acceptances but not all of the acceptances have gone out yet. If you look at last years thread people were accepted up until the last minute. if you do email them I would only ask like “when can i expect a decision?” or ask for an early review but I wouldn’t go much further than that.
Yeah. Just be professional, explain that you have deadlines, that you’re respectfully requesting an update/to hear your decision before the deadline/etc. just gotta be honest @lostinthesauce21
Any admissions today?
Nothing on my end
Nothing yet…
Still nothing…
How long does it take for gtwon to send the financial aid package? I was accepted a week ago and still have not received it…
@lexluther96 did you get your FA package from Brown already?
@Robinyoursoul Noo, I didn’t get into Brown likely because of their need-aware transfer policy, which I didn’t know about until after I applied. I need a LOT of financial aid – for example, the Gtown FA calculator predicted that I’ll get ~$50k in aid. Otherwise, I’ve been accepted by UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, U-M, Georgetown, and waitlisted by Columbia University. I was rejected by Stanford too, but I expected that because they normally have a 1.98% transfer acceptance rate, and it was even lower this year. I like Columbia more than Stanford, so that’s fine. I only applied because it’s really close to home. I’ve received my FA packages from everywhere else.
still waiting for rejection
Any admitted today? Also, not sure this bodes well for us: http://www.thehoya.com/half-of-admitted-students-to-enter-class-of-2021/
Nothing today! Here’s to tomorrow!
@Collegestuff202 I don’t think it should be too bad for us actually. It should mean that they just accept less people off the freshmen waitlist. I wouldn’t worry
@Robinyoursoul just keep smiling It will come
Update: so in the article they said they would have to accept 20 less students for transfer. This leaves the acceptance rate at about 6.8% (150 acceptances /2200 applicants*100). This may actually be bad news for us. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But don’t lose hope!
@lexluthor96 Georgetown hasn’t gotten back to me either on the FA man. I got my acceptance exactly a month ago and I still haven’t heard from them about the FA. That is what is holding me back from SIRing.
I’m still waiting here in Cali for a decision. Anyone get any news today?
@glitterbug001 I’m a UCLA student and waiting to hear back as well. I was granted a late application though, so I’m not surprised mine is taking so long.
I’m in the same boat as you two ^^, that honestly helps my brain calm down a bit… hahah. I’m a veteran/ Cali living right now… Didn’t know which of the two was effecting the decision timeline
