i ended up calling to find some info and the representative said that the interview will be assigned “probably sometime next month” when would they be finished reviewing applications? do second semester grades have any weight?

Interesting. Thanks for the info, Michael. Hopefully they’ll contact me about an interview some time next month too. I’m not really reading into that part very much at this point. Who knows…

I’m in Southern California and got an email a few days ago saying an alumni interview is required of me…Odd, considering I thought it was optional for transfer applicants. I’m applying to the Walsh SFS.

@michaelungerrr - From what I gather, second semester grades are not taken into account when considering admissions. However, they might be important if you are waitlisted, and they will definitely be important for transfer of credit. The reason GU has applicants list their second semester classes with a link to course syllabi is so they can evaluate the amount of effort you are likely to put into your second semester coursework.

Also, in regards to concerns about not receiving notifications about interviews: from what admissions has told me, interviewer information will be released in April. Like most things with GU, the release dates they give often aren’t as defined as they claim, so it’s unsurprising that a few individuals are getting information before April. However, I think the majority will be sent within the first two weeks of the month. If you live around Chicago, Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, northern Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, DC, northern Virginia, Los Angeles, or the Bay Area I would be surprised if you didn’t receive an interview. I don’t know about alumni concentrations in other areas, so I can’t make informed guesses, but GU’s alumni network is extensive and I think we can all trust that the admissions office will assign as many interviewers to as many applicants as possible.

JUST GOT AN EMAIL TODAY!!! haha yay I have my interview. It’s at the National Basketball Association on 5th avenue lol.

I am so excited to talk to someone about Georgetownnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

First of all, I’d like to thank you for starting this thread and keeping it going. Props!

If you were white, I would say no way. Since you’re latino there’s a slight chance but latino doesnt bring you as far as other urms.

does Gtown ever admit applicants for Spring semester? or just fall semester?

i applied to MSB but have never heard back anything. Anyone on the same boat?

Applied to the College–haven’t heard from them either.

Yes, Applied to MSB nothing yet but when I called they said interview and such sometime in April? I have yet to submit my CSS Profile as well

I just heard from back NYU Stern

I doubt I’m even going to set up the interview for MSB

Yep. I guess it’s a good thing if we haven’t been contacted (nothing is missing)?

I am just submitting my CSS Profile in the next couple of days, but have submitted my FAFSA a month or so ago. Is that alright?

So, i just sent Gtown another e-mail about reqd. materials. they never reply…? :s

similar experience for any of you guys??

What was your email specifically about? They are horrible about responding to emails or letting you know if they received everything. If you don’t hear anything in the next couple weeks it is a good thing because it means they have everything necessary to review your app.

@hookedongtown: I called them to check my application status and they said they do not do that until later, so don’t worry, I think its just that they are swamped and will deal with transfers later

Oh. ok, thanks! Since decisions started pouring in around late April last year, i assume they will have started reviewing apps by next week at the latest…?

@hooked - Yeah usually april 1st is when most of the schools start reviewing their transfer apps. They say June 1st is the date we will hear because that tends to be the latest date they send them out. They start to be sent out in late April/early May.
