Yeah… I think admission has little to do with interviews. I had my interview on the last week of March and still no response, while other who were not offered an interview got accepted already.

I just called the admissions office to see what the timeline on the rest of the decisions coming out was seeing as I have the UVa deposit deadline looming this Friday. The lady who answered the phone said most of the committees had wrapped up and that most of the decisions had been made. She provided me with the email address for someone from the college admissions committee whom I have not heard back from yet.

i was accepted and i was never offered an interview

The admissions rep I was directed to just emailed me back with a no response unfortunately. I applied as a sophomore government transfer from CT FYI. Oh well, atleast I gave it a shot and it made what would have been a very hard decision easy. Congrads to all who got in. UVa here I come!

sorry to hear that. still, congratulations, UVA is a great school!

sucks to think I am going to be rejected two years in a row…

@Desert_Fox

if you don’t mind answering, were you waitlisted before being denied admission last year?

Well, it’s almost a week since the initial batch of acceptances, and other than CTguy and Hookedongtown’s decisions, it seems as though decisions are at a standstill… Do you think e-mails are coming out on Thursday again?? I’m getting sooooo worried!!!

I’m sensing a wave of rejections… But that’s just me.

I agree. Not to be negative or anything. I mean, they already informed the applicants who’ve been wait-listed already…

The Facebook group only has 10 members, and only 10 people have been given acceptances on our thread too, at the very least that’s 200 acceptances that are unaccounted for…

Hahaha I don’t know why I’m even bothering with the interview :-p

Just wondering, for the people that haven’t heard back yet, are you sophmore or junior transfers? And does that play any role in the decisions?

I’m pretty sure sophomore and junior status does play a big factor in admissions seeing as we will be taking the places of those students who will no longer be sophomores or juniors at GT (those who transferred out or dropped out). Right?

sophomore status.

Also sophomore.

sssoppphhhomorreeee!!

i am a sophomore transfer as well…hmm i see a pattern.

okay so to anyone still waiting… i just called admissions and asked if there was anyone i could contact to get a leaning answer on my admission decision and the guy asked my name and then said “based on the notes i see here and your rating it doesn’t look like you’ll have a place in the class.” So…UVa here i come!!!

what school had you applied to in g’town?
