@blrhur wow, that’s amazing! congratulations! Did they email him? Does this mean whoever didn’t receive any notification are rejected? At least now I can stop thinking about gt and commit somewhere else.
I’m surprised no one else on this thread has gotten off the waitlist. Also, it says you have to accept your waitlist spot by April 6th, I wonder why they decided before everyone even had a chance to accept their spot. I guess since they admitted more people this year, they didn’t really need their waitlist.
@Ellamarie, my DS just admission acceptance on Friday. The financial aid portal on Oscar is yet to be updated with the award letter. We have to accept the offer by May 1st.
This is wrong info. Since GaTech has a lot of programs for guaranteed transfer, if you do not fall under guaranteed transfer umbrella you have almost zero chances.
Guaranteed transfers take almost all available spots.
Quick Q. My DS is waitlisted , if he couldn’t get into FALL then they might give him summer or conditional transfer or they will just not say anything because summer and conditional transfer is already full by now?? I am so confused.
I don’t know whom to ask this question.
Unfortunately yes. I do not know what is going on with waitlisted students. I believe once they are not selected, it is like rejected.
However, GaTech sent some students guaranteed transfer even during EA. There is also guaranteed transfer from several local colleges and for legacy students.
Google GaTech Transfer pathway programs. You will understand that with current 7 pathway programs it will be almost impossible to transfer for anybody else.
We have experience in family with local Georgia student denied transfer with GPA 4.0 outside of pathway (GSU to GaTech with all required classes taken.)
@tenseMom read my suggestion to you in Berkeley forum.
I hope it will help. 25 years ago you could transfer from GSU to GaTech without any problems. Unfortunately time changed.
