I am not sure, but it does not look like. Unless you are automatically fall into one of 7 categories listed on their website (First generation, Pell Grant, legacy, veterans, Engineering transfer programs etc.) I actually called and asked. (My DC was also upset that transfer option was not listed.) They told me if you are in one of the categories you are in automatically. No additional emails will be provided.
^^ only conditional transfers are for Georgia residents college of Art and Science, and legacy. They do no send emails about legacy, Pell grant, First generation etc.
The only email they send if it is Art and Science. All other are automatic if you applied and was denied + program for veterans (they did not have to apply as freshman).
Thank you for your response. I guess that pretty much crushed my dreams since it is impossible to transfer in outside those pathways.
I was just accepted via the waitlist. Here’s the email:
Congratulations! We are happy to offer you acceptance to the 2020 first-year class for the Fall term beginning in August 2020.
To accept or decline your offer of admission, please click the link below or visit your Admission Portal and respond within five (5) business days. If we do not hear from you within that time frame, we will close your application.

Accepting this offer is not a commitment to Georgia Tech. If you choose to accept our offer of admission you will then have until May 1 to pay your enrollment and housing deposits. Accepting this offer will also prompt our Financial Aid Office to review your application for aid, if applicable.
Congratulations again! I hope you will join this outstanding first-year class!
Congrats !
Just received the same email, except I am stating in the summer session.
I’m international by the way!
Congrats! @Matpedro2 @marcos123 Would you mind revealing which majors you guys applied for?
I applied for economics
I applied for CS
my son also received the offer today, he applied for CS as first choice, but the offer letter didn’t say which major, does it mean CS by default ?
Congrats! @Matpedro2 @marcos123
@Matpedro2 do you mind revealing whether you are OOS or In-state?
I’m more than OOS, I’m out of country!
From France
Do you guys think there will be a second wave of acceptances or will this likely be it?
@Matpedro2 @marcos123 did you guys send in LOCI’s?
Congratulations! Did you have any clue that you would be accepted? Email from OSFA? Pay now button? Any hint? ??
Posted on another thread but will repost here: my son applied EA was deferred to RD then waitlisted. Received notice via email yesterday that he was accepted and had limited days to respond. Portal was updated as well. Final commitment and deposit due May 1. He is OOS and declared major in EE. We are thrilled for him…honestly we had given up on GT and were concentrating on his other options. This really changes the game. Good luck to everyone!
FYI we did not receive any other “hint” that this was forthcoming. We did not apply for financial aid.
@marcos123 @Matpedro2 did you know (or how to check) which major was admitted ) ? my son (OOS) also received the offer, and he applied CS as first choice and neurology as 2nd major, wonder if admitted into first choice or not.
Whoever got off from waitlist , Did you guys sent Letter of Continued interest ?
Can we expect some more acceptance today and tomorrow based on the previous posts response time? Keeping fingers crossed.
Even I also got recently financial related email , not sure that means in anyway. Still waiting to get off the list.
Just keep in mind that with this uncertainty more instate will want to stay in their state college. If more OOS getting of the waitlist that just means the university is seeing less commitment from them.
Sent a LoCi and did not have any hint (did not apply for aid).
No I can’t check what major I m accepted for
