We are from very cold Upper Midwest. My kid is embracing the melt. Fell in love with Georgia Tech on our tour in April. Beautiful campus with wonderful nature areas. Turned down Notre Dame and Northwestern and a big factor was the weather (of course Top Engineering was the biggest). He needs a break from the cold and wind.

Has anyone heard from Admissions as to when they plan to close the waitlist? I’m honestly surprised that it is still open. Also, from CC and Reddit, it seems like all/most (??) who have come off the waitlist are OOS students. Has anyone here gotten off the waitlist that is in-state? Thanks!
all i saw are oos, which make sense. since Georgia required 60-65% from in state, they probably fill most spot with regular admission already, and the spots left most likely are the spots they can fill with OOS,
I’m guessing it’s pretty much wrapped up by now. It’d really throw kids for a loop to get an offer a few weeks before school starts!
