I’ve searched the internet but I can’t seem to find a reasonable estimate of what kind of stats an American citizen would need to get into UBC. I am a junior in Minnesota right now I would probably be applying for arts, major in econ and something else. Right now I have a 3.8 UW GPA which is dropping (almost definitly will be somewhere in the 3.7-3.8 range after this year). and a 32 ACT on my first try with a 26 science section so it should go up. I do a lot of things outside of school but do Canadian U’s even count EC’s? From what I have seen of UBC it looks amazing and I have always loved Vancouver as a city. What kind of stats do you need to get in from the states?

hey so basically I was wondering the same thing about my possible major. and i found this on there site which really helped.

and since your in the U.S. like me you probably want to look at this after you see that page…

Percent to GPA conversion chart[/url”>http://faculty.cascadia.edu/dwhittaker/percent2gpa.htm]Percent to GPA conversion chart

obviously that doesnt mean its 100% true each school may vary on how they change GPA to percentage but its a good estimate!

UBA is not a super hard university to get into.

I am a Canadian Student and I know a lot of UBC (its like 40 mins from my house).
The ARTS is about 75 % AVERAGE to get in (according to the Canadian system).

USA Students with 3.2 GPA have a competitive chance for admission to the ARTS Department. Other departments, like the school of business, requires a much higher average (90% minimum, ~ which is a 4.0 GPA).

It really depends on your program/school you are applying to.

With a 3.8 and 32 ACT, you should get in.

I didnt apply for ARTS, but my friend said there is no supplement for it. Therefore, no place to put your EC.
But I applied to engineering and it does, in fact, have a supplement which is optional. (There is 8 or 9 slots for EC, two 250 word responses, and a section for work experience)
