Getting Rejected?

So, and i am asking this paricularly from students who have already received decisions, and generally from everyone.
Do you feel the bar has been raised way higher for international students asking for aid this application season. Were you shocked when your ED decison came? What about friends whom who you never imagined getting rejected facing their worst fear.
Now of course this happens every year. People raise expectations and then are forced to confront reality. And often a couple of 2400s arent enough. But do you feel there are more rejections this year than ever before because of Economic Crisis perhaps?
I’d really appreciate if people who’ve gotten their decisons already came forward.

Well, it is getting harder every year - with more applicants applying to more schools than ever before. Asking for financial aid as an international aid then getting in with aid that meets your full need is never easy - and straight 800s for every single SAT component you took definitely won’t be enough at the top schools. You need something more.

I’ve been rejected! :frowning: But I won’t blame it on anything. :)

I got rejected…from Oxford! I know why tho…I’m not their geeky type person!
