Gift idea travel tote bag

I first thought of posting in the wedding thread but wanted to get ideas from those who might not read that thread.

I want to put together along with my other D a wedding shower gift for my D. There is a travel tote bag she has asked for. I want to buy that but stuff it with either honeymoon items or travel items.
Things I’ve thought of-
Either a travel blanket or travel scarf that can be used as a blanket
Easy reading paperback for plane or honeymoon reading- open to suggestions of titles
Pajamas
Would love ideas. Thanks

Noise canceling headphones, small tube fancy hand sanitizer or lotion, travel size Advil or other OTC meds, gum/mints

Hard candy(chocolate can melt and get messy), granola bars or other such snacky items are always nice when traveling.

Packing cubes, universal converters, passport holder, noise cancelling headphones, travel journal, gift certificate to shutterfly or equivalent to make a photo book of their honeymoon pictures.

I have this flight pack.

All my ‘stuff’ that I need during a flight is in one place. I carry it in my Longchamp Le Pliage Large Shoulder Tote Bag that I put under the seat in front of me. Since everything has an assigned place it’s harder for something to go missing.

Here are examples I’ve come across (for my own upcoming trip) while looking at lists of what people take in their personal item bag when flying: bottle for water, snacks, small book or puzzle book, sunglasses, lysol wipes, travel toothpaste, toothbrush, moisturizer, phone charger, iPad charger, earbuds, power bank, sleep mask, pen and small notebook, trtl pillow, scarf, compression socks, Sudafed, eye drops, motion sickness relief, allergy meds, anti-diarrheal med, immune support supplements, bandaids, Tums, sleep aid, pain reliever, gum, raincoat, umbrella, small crossbody.

Rollable sunhat

I highly recommend Kindle for flying. Not just because you can fill it with books, but also because it doesn’t need a night light to read. Crazy Rich Asians and sequels is a fun read, especially if traveling to that part of the world.

Travel size tooth paste, Zantac or equivalent, small comb and/or brush. Lip gloss. Power bank - make sure it has voltage listed on it. The Chinese TSA stole one of mine, but let me keep the other one. I’d go for something that is more like a scarf than a blanket. You want to travel light. Everyone is different, but if you want a smallish crossbody I thought this one from Bagalini was perfect. Kindle just fits. https://www.zappos.com/p/baggallini-crossbody-bag-w-rfid-wristlet-charcoal/product/8673753/color/275 I also have a thing for under your shirt for passport etc that can’t be cut, but I wouldn’t want it for a purse, that wire has a mind of its own. I like a small tube of neosporin along with the bandaids.

Kindle paper white. Lighter than books, I love mine

Somehow I have a hunch that pajamas don’t get a whole lot of use on a honeymoon…

Thank you. Lots of great ideas.

Taking from my post on another thread. Burt’s Bee,'s eye masks. 5 minutes before landing and you look like you slept the entire flight.

I can’t live without my over the ear noise canceling headphones when I travel.

I never travel without my Nordstrom tissue weight wrap. I even bring a second one for Mr. when we fly together. These wraps are indispensable as airplane blankets!

Something for her significant other too.

I usually have a cashmere wrap (warm, light), ipad, charger, sound cancellation earbuds (Bose), hand and face cream, socks (if I am traveling far) in my tote.

A foldable tote for bringing home newly purchased treasures.

I always carry a change of underwear in my carryon…having had my suitcases “delayed” on more than one trip!

I travel with a couple of gallon ziploc bags so the flight crew can fill then with ice if the plane is too hot or I am seated next to someone filling into my seat.

This is more similar to the cross body I use (mine’s a brand no longer made, plain black, and has a strap long enough that it sits near my hip, very easy for me to acess. I wear it under a coat or sweater. It fits cell, passport and more.) You can see from these fabrics on this link that a color might be fun and work in a dressy situation. There are some sellers with more choices.
